    Well done, Lauri.

Hang in there, STSs and gainers.

Shala, your recipe folder / menu planner is fantastic. You’ve every reason to be chuffed.

    Echo that!

    Not posting today’s menu.
As anticipated, I ate what I shouldn’t at my friends. Nuff said.

  • *sneaks in* can I come back in?

I've had a tough time food wise as when I'm tired/feeling off/overwhelmed i get the munchies and I have succumbed far too many times :( I want to make a proper commitment to myself now and losing weight is, for me, an investment in my self confidence and a good reason for some 'me time'

I need to work on some compromises; for example when we have fish and chips at home I can use my syns for the yummy fish and have it with free mash or salad and low/no syn the rest of the day. That way I won't feel deprived/like I have to miss out.

I'm not doing as much walking as I did the first time round so I'm going to commit to a one hour walk on my lunch at work (4 days a week) and on Mondays either do a one hour walk when I'm home or some reffing or similar running about if I'm at training (or a walk around the hospital grounds)

Breakfast and lunch at work are sticky points ta the moment; I've been back three weeks and have started eating breakfast at work so have been taking flavoured porridge sachets that I had left but I've finished them all now. I'm thinking of making a batch of mini omlette bites the night before which I can take and just heat up in the microwave there. Any other ideas for free/perhaps very low syn make ahead breakfasts?

Lunch wise I think this is where I'll use my HeB for a sandwich or ryvita/similar to go with homemade soups :) with it dropping much much colder I'm more than happy with soup or no/low syn leftovers every day!

Evening meals are where I'll use most of my syns so that bf and I are eating as similar a meal as possible. I'm not going to rejoin a group for now as I just don't have the time, money or energy so I'll likely use Google (other search engines available ;) ) or the addage '20Kcal = 1 syn' or ask on here though I think I risk becoming annoying if I just keep asking here :/

I haven't weighd myself in a while and have definitely gained since then (lots of weekends away as we've bought a caravan! and two weeks on holiday at various UK coastal resorts) so I expect I'm back up to 2.5-3st to lose and I'd like at least a stone gone by Christmas. I'm going to weigh myself on Friday at the local chemist as that's when I'll have chance. Think I will buy myself some digital scales for at home and put them away under the cot on non-weigh days :)

Oof sorry that's a bit of an essay but here I am...starting again...(again)

I ordered myself a (weekly planner) calendar last night which I hope will help with my meal planning. It runs from now (well August actually) to December 2015. Thank you to whoever suggested the index cards, I think I am going to write out menu ideas and meals on the cards (for reference) and then use them to help decide and fill in my appointments and meals on the calendar.

I feel a real grump this morning. Not feeling the love. I managed to stop myself running out the door without any lunch in my rush to get the working day started so have soup except I now can't remember if I turned off the hob or not!

Its funny how the silliest things annoy you. Everything in my bag got wet on Friday including a receipt I had to take back to get the points added. Of course helpfully the back of the receipt faded (with the important details) so the shop told me it was out of date (it wasn't) but I couldn't remember when (until I left the shop) I had actually bought the bits. Will look after my receipts better next time! Something not worrying about really. I don't know why I have it bug me.

I hope everyone has a lovely day. xx

I am not a big breakfast eater and usually make the mistake of rushing to work with little or no breakfast and then snacking on syns throughout the morning. I try to vary my breakfast so a variety of cereals that I can have as my HEB either at home or measure up in a bowl and take to work with me. I quite like a piece of toast as a B option. not enough really to keep me going but something at least. I need to be more organised and have my toast but then prep fruit to munch on. Sometimes I make egg muffins. so fry off lightly some bacon which I use to line a muffin tray then add whatever mix I want (eg mushrooms/peppers) then crack an egg on top and cook up in the oven. These make an ideal breakfast snack (tastier cold?) which I suppose if I was super organised, I could heat up with some beans.

No, you're okay :) They changed the recipe a while back but as long as you've got the 70cal ones you can have 1 or 2 as an HEB, or you can syn them.

When I started SW I had to promise my hubby I wouldn't lose my boobs :rotfl:
    Thanks so much Crabapple!

An STS this week, but I weighed less a day either side, so I am hopeful of a loss this week. :)

    Morning!

Welcome back to us Lush, feel free to ask for syns on here, we'll do our best to find them for you.

Hopefully I have reined in where things went wrong earlier in the week and should not be getting a huge gain tomorrow! Not sure if I've done enough but am on plan... aside from the fact I have used up pretty much all my veg so off to get dressed and get the littlies ready and then I can do Aldi and restock a little. Then it's just a case of deciding what to make for dinner :)

I'm never going to be organised enough for one of those plans! Looks really good though. I just work on making something healthy and plenty of it so it covers us for a couple of days.

Well done on all the weight loss and STS folks. I tried to stick to plan but had some bad news and I am afraid I turned to the chocolate and wine though was reasonably restrained.

2 small glasses red wine and 4 fun size choc bars over course of the day. As I had a week with no syns I think I will be okay. Plus loads of very strong painkillers which cause erm, not sure how to put it nicely without TMI.

Today is WI so will report back later.

Shala – Do you think going to class would bring any help or motivation?? If so get that man down there!! I know everyone is different and benefits from different things, but for me the discipline of getting weighed each week and having to go there keeps me from going too wild. I need someone else to be weighing me etc and to know my weight lol or I’d just start lying to myself about what the scales say. Once I am in class I am accountable for my behaviour ha ha .
Maman - I am 5.5 and medium boned. I have always weighed heavy though – even the Dr said to me years ago when I had gotten myself down to 12 stone that I was obese but didn’t look obese ha ah. Anyway my BMI is healthy and I’m a size 10 /12 and for me that is a big deal. 10 flipping stone something sounds so heavy though doesn’t it - it doesn’t help when you pick up all these magazines and all these wee sparrows are 8 or 9 stone:eek:!! It really annoys me.
Kiwisaver – Well done!! Can I ask what was the online questionnaire that you did?
Crabapple – Sometimes I am very positive and other times less lol, I will try and cling to it whilst it lasts! :D
Meg72 – What a nightmare!!! Though at least he didn’t eat your Breakfast or maybe that was what he was trying to do lol:rotfl:
Tweets – I couldn’t sleep in my bed if there was a snake in the house lol never mind feed it!!

On the claw back here from the weekend – wasn’t overly bad but have definitely had too much bread, cheese and crisps. – I’ve 3 lbs to get off to target and no doubt I’ll mess about now for months with it ha ha. Did manage to hit the gym yesterday though and will be there tonight.

    B: 2 Toast (HE) Banana
L: HM Veg Soup, Orange, Kiwi, WW Yogurt
    D:HM Veg soup
Snacks: More fruit & a yogurt
Off to CX Works tonight so I eat light for dinner for a Monday night and no doubt will be picking at something to be confirmed on my return lol
