Ohh TIE feel for you love, had my one and only flu jab some years ago and never felt so ill in my life. have refused them since, get pressured by the nurse who says at my age I should have it, I just don't think it suits some people and will take my chance on the Flu.

I am using my slow cooker again today. Its either going to be lovely. Or a complete disaster and I'll sulk! Its simply beef braising steaks with passata and a bit of spice.

Generally my menus and main food choices have been ok but I'm still filling up on syns rather than make healthy choices and fill up on free food.

I realise this is a long time plan and I can't be perfect day in, day out but I need to at least make some effort.

Struggling to feel motivated at the moment.

Thanks, tweets. Good luck for tomorrow night. The menu might have sounded lovely, and tasted lovely, but it was def not SW friendly lol.

Oh maman, that was a fab result, especially since you lost so many players in the summer! I can only dream ….

    Well done, mumoftwo

Oh meg, how horrible – but you did make me laugh! I’m a big feartie when it comes to spiders too!

Hope you feel better soon, TIE.

My day has started badly. I had just cooked myself a lovely full engish breakfast and went to put it on the table when a huge spider ran across the floor. Shrieked and turned quickly to get out the door, slipped and fell on my bum with my breakfast upturned in my lap. jumped up quickly. and ran into the lounge scattering bacon egg sausage beans tomato and mushrooms as I went. One hell of a mess to clean up.

Think my plan for the rest of the day might be Brandy, Brandy and more Brandy:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Sorry meg but this made me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hope you are ok :)

    I wouldn't have flinched don't mind spiders.

Thanks for giving me a laugh meg. Hope you've recovered now from your fright and that you did get some breakfast in the end.

Good to see you posting tie and roll on half term. I, too, have always avoided a flu jab. I've never had flu in my life so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed. Healthy eating has to help.;)

Hope your SC steak is successful FE. Try to spend some time today writing a plan for the coming week. Maybe if you've got large low syn/syn free meals planned you won't need the sinful snacks.

Shame about the gain although a pound's not much mim. I'd just focus on having as many SW friendly meals/days as you can until you have a free run at things.

Looking at your menu, there seem to be too many HEBs or things you'll have to syn on a Red day. You can have 200g of parsnips or 150g mushy peas as a HEB. Failing that it's 3 syns for 100g of the parsnips or 4 for 100g of the peas. Faiing that, just call it EE, eat as much as you like and syn any extra milk.

I couldn't find any parsnips when I went shopping so none for me today.:(

    My EE plan:

B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, 2 fried eggs, HEA milk
L: JP with spring onions, cornichons, beetroot and cottage cheese
D: roast chicken, SW roast potatoes, cabbage, red cabbage, carrots, cauli, broccoli
Syns: squirt of HP sauce, gravy and maybe some stuffing, weekend wine.:)

I'm going a bit mad on the veggies with my dinner but I like to have a bowl of LOs in the fridge for easy lunches.

Thanks Maman, 1lb's not much but I keep losing and gaining the same pound that's what's so frustrating. I think I know the cause of it this week, I had a rhubarb fool made with quark and quark has lactose in it

Last time we went on one of these holidays OH chose wisely and managed to lose weight, so I'm aiming to follow his example this time.

I will just change to an EE day, I'd forgotten you can't have peas on Red day.

Don't be sorry I laughed myself when I thought what a sight I must have looked I am fine didn't hurt myself at all , well the can of Raid that I sprayed the monster with probably didn't do my lungs any good.

Spiders are just about the only thing that give me the freaks. I have in my time coped with a madman with an axe, a black mamba snake when in Africa, various violent attacks when a residential child care officer but spiders NO.

Wish you lived next door to me if they don't bother you :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
