    hello again.

Mildredd, delighted you've got a busy busy life.

Congrats, lantana, shell belle and MupElle.

    Lantanna, I loike your style!

Well Friday's menu was not too bad.

Breakfast:hexb fruit 'n' fibre, splash hexa ss milk (actually 80ml - I measured it, out of curiosity ;) ), potato scone (6.5 syns)
Lunch: tomato & herb mug shot, banana
Snack: Lidl Arctic mint choc bisc (6 syns?)
Dinner: 2 LMcC rosemary & red onion sausages, mashed potato, baked beans, beetroot and pickled onions, Morrisons fat free peach & mango yogurt (1.5 syns)

    Total so far; 14 syns
So supper is likely to be rest of hexa 2 mini baby bel light with grapes

Tomorrow we will be away to Dumfries for football match, so don't know how it will work out synwise. Looking at Eating Out list, I should be able to find something for dinner that will keep me within syns. Fingers crossed I'll not be tempted to stray too much from my good intentions ;)

I really need to control tomorrow as, on Sunday, we're having dinner at friends' house, so I'll not have a choice there.

    Let's get going again!

I always thought dried polenta was free but unfortunately it's not, it's actually 4.5 syns for 25g.

    Denise

Is this just if it's being used as flour though, like in a cake or something?

I googled it and it said different things.. it used to be free on a green day but now they've decided it's synned, but some people say only synned if used as a flour substitute...

Could I check if Smash is still free? I saw on one of the websites it's synned but i'm hoping not as I eat loads!!!

  • I understand Shala that Smash is still free if you are eating it as mashed potato but if it is used for scones etc it's classed as abuse  Will have to look into this polenta stuff.

Re: the kfc is that 4 syns per chicken breast?

Just shared some magic pancakes with DH and they were delish :D. Thank you for the recipe that was posted for me the other day. Will certainly give them another go. DH thought they were a bit sweet - but tough ......... I liked them that way :D

Good work everyone; thanks to all your lovely support and motivation I have lost 3lbs this week and I am absolutely delighted with that - that gets me a virtual 1 Stone shiny and down to 10st 5lb which was my original target. When I started this I never really imagined I would lose a whole stone, so thanks to all of you for being here otherwise I definitely wouldn't have made it.:T

I did an online questionnaire thing about health that said 10.3lb would be ideal for my height and age, so I'll keep on striving for the other two but not likely to happen in the coming week due to work stuff next week.

I haven't made any plans today beyond dinner of steak and chips with onion, tomatoes and mushrooms

Well I've been eating the smash as potato cakes so I guess its the same? Last week I had it as Bubble and squeak so vegetables in it too..

4 syns per chicken breast yes, that's for the flour, 25g ish each I guess, although I've never weighed it.

You could swop the flour with bread crumbs like they do in the SW recipe and have it as a HEB instead.

    Great loss Kiwi!! :T:T

:T that's brilliant kiwi and all other losers!!

If I were you I'd just do a beanie and keep plodding. OK so this week doesn't look hopeful because of work commitments but if you do your meal plans SW friendly then not only is it healthy but you'll lose that bit more on 'normal' weeks.

Ok folks - back after some time off and several holidays so need to get this fat off me as my arthritis is hurting!

Need some syn info please as I have a couple of tins of regular PEK chopped pork in the fridge and need to use it up.

Anyone got any idea on the syns please?
