Thanks for giving me a laugh meg. Hope you've recovered now from your fright and that you did get some breakfast in the end
You are very welcome to the laugh Maman, if it had been shown on you've been framed I think I would have won a prize and as a bonus I think the rapid scramble to get away and the cleaning up is my body magic for the next week :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Went to Asda to look for reduced superfrees at 3.20 but it was only reduced to half price and there was a lot of pushing and shoving and bad behaviour so decided I`d had enough excitement for one day, had a mooch around the Christmas section and went back to the reduced at 3.45, result absolutely loads all reduced to 10p, Think that was my reward for being so brave and dispatching a monster spider today.Slimming World at target0 -
I am stumped! Can someone tell me what would be quick, tasty and satisfying for tea tonight. I am part way through decorating a bedroom so haven't got much time but am starving.
Made SW tasty Thai bites, rice and mango salsa for lunch. Then we had a meringue nest ... 3 syns .... with raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, black currants.
Breakfast was oatbran with banana.0 -
Don't be sorry I laughed myself when I thought what a sight I must have looked I am fine didn't hurt myself at all , well the can of Raid that I sprayed the monster with probably didn't do my lungs any good.
Spiders are just about the only thing that give me the freaks. I have in my time coped with a madman with an axe, a black mamba snake when in Africa, various violent attacks when a residential child care officer but spiders NO.
Wish you lived next door to me if they don't bother you :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I would capture all your spiders and put outside if I did
I hate worms and could never pick one up. Also when my DS had a snake in his room when he lived here he phoned one night and wanted me to feed it a pinkie (mouse). Snake had to starve til he got home I couldn't take pinkie out of his freezer let alone feed snake :eek:0 -
Well yesterday didn't go as well as planned! Our friends owed us a meal out so we went out last night for a meal at a local pub so I chose what I thought would be the most SW friendly and had chicken breast chunks, jacket potato & salad. Only problem was the chicken breast chunks were more like chicken nuggets and deep fried in batter! Have to say I enjoyed it though, especially with a bit of oil and balsamic on the salad (only about a tsp of each). DH wasn't happy they didn't have any fish & chips left when we got there!
Didn't do too bad for syns in the end as had gin & slimline tonic rather than red wine to drink.
Today's menu has been Red:
B - bacon & mushroom toasted sandwich (HEB1)
L - tuna salad, had balsamic on the salad instead of my usual fat free French dressing
D - HM beef bourgignon, mashed swede & cabbage (2 syns for red wine in the bourgignon)
HEA1 - milk in tea throughout the day
HEA2 - cheese
HEB1 - bread
HEB2 - 4 original Ryvita
Syns - red wine (2 glasses) 12 so total of 14 for day

Anyway, not going to dwell on it. I started my menu folder, someone on here posted about how they wrote meals on a card and the ingredients too. Thought that was a fantastic idea, so thank you!:T
Good plan :T it was me with the menu cards Mumoftwo - this is ours, I had a bit of a crafting session and made it all pretty...I was well chuffed with it as I've never done anything like that before..
The meal cards have the meal on the front, ingredients and recipe reference on the back.. I can't tell you how much less stressed I feel when we have to do the weeks planning now.. :j
meg - hope you're ok now.. glad you got the b*gger!!TakeItEazy wrote: »For Shala - [STRIKE]lost 8st[/STRIKE] ok not really, STS :rotfl:

hugs for being poorly.. x
Penny - you've probably had your tea now but if i'm busy in the day I usually stick a jacket potato in the oven.. then it's ready whenever you are really with no exact timings to work to..
Food for us today has been a bit hit and miss, I cooked a breast of lamb in the SC but I'm really not hungry at all so we're having that tomorrow, leftovers will be made into hotpot from the new magazine and stuck in the freezer for another day.
I'm really impressed with the recipes this month in the magazine, will be trying a few of them I think!
Hope everyone's ready for the last week of the challenge.. we all have to try hard now TIE's let us down with the 8 stone:rotfl:

Well done for the losses and chin up if not!
We went for a bike ride today, so that is my body magic, although I don't think it does any magic to my body!!!!! Since we decided to get out for a ride, we made a picnic this time, and a rather healthy one!!!! We had salad, eggs, almost fat free quark with herbs for dipping and finn crips thins for dipping. On top - apples, clementines, grapes, dried apples and mini wheats for kids to snack on. Oh, and since they wouldn't eat salad, thy had Frankfurters... We did about 17.5 km total, and the weather was great, reaching close to mid twenties - practically summer in the second half in October!!!!!
For dinner I made lamb burgers (no fats added, just a slice of bread crumbled between 4 of us, so I think 1 syn for me in that, added egg, onion, apple, pepper - was lovely), and grilled aubergines (jsut a light spray of oil (we don't have frylight and the suggested equivalent for this, PAM, is 80% oil and costs twice as much as normal olive oil spray, so I made my choices here).
Just sat on the sofa with a few mini wheat with raisin biscuits, probably another 4-5 syns...
Need to keep a closer eye on my meals tomorrow, need some loss!!!!!!
B: Porridge, fruit
L: Quark, Finn Crisp thins, more fruit, possibly an eggSurprise.... with salad!
Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Hi all
Back from holiday. Had a lovely time but gosh too much bad eating and alcohol but hey it was a holiday.
Shala can you put me down for 1lb loss for last week w/b 6/10/14 as I forgot to log in before we went and then a 4lb gain for this week w/b 13/10/10 please.
Bit of a shocker 4lb gain in one week but I think a lot of it was also down to lack of drinking water as I normally drink quite a bit during the day and I was so out of sync being on holiday.
Have menu planned for this week, done all my shopping and have made a pan of Indian chicken and lentil soup.
today's menu was
breakfast - none as wanted to be good and nothing particularly sw friendly in the house
lunch - baked potato, tuna and sweetcorn with salad (had been shoppping by then lol)
dinner - chicken breast, roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli, mange tout and 2 yorkies (4 syns)
drinks - water and green tea.
syns: total 9 syns - DG coffee x 2 (5 syns) and the 4 syns for the yorkies.
