Lantana - “8 more and you could have fish and chips!!”
What makes that worse is that I never eat a whole fish supper! I geta single fish (and share with cat, lol) and pinch a few of DH's chips! Boo- hoo- hoo - Now sobbing uncontrollably at the thought of this!
Congrats, maman, tazzy, tweets and beanie on your losses.
From tomorrow I'm going to go back to posting what actually passes my lips rather than what I planned. See you all tomorrow night.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
Had a REALLY bad day. Probably ate about 30-40 syns. And i'm going away tomorrow for the weekend. Have a lot on my plate and it was pure comfort eating. Don't know what to do about the weekend now. Go all out and enjoy it, or try my best to kerb what i eat, and attempt some healthy choices.

It happens Counting Pennies. Don't make thing worse for yourself by beating yourself up about it.
Anyone got a good recipe for fanta and diet coke chicken. I have tried them both before but just cobbled some stuff together in a pan and I was not impressed but fancy having another go.0 -
tazzy, here's the recipe I use. I got it in one of the mags.
Diet Coke Chicken with Wedges & Slaw
Serves 4
Ready in about 1 hour
Syns: EE free
Stew
4 skinless chicken breast fillets, cut into 2cm pieces
1 onion, finely chopped
330ml can diet coke
200ml chicken stock
8tblsp passata with onions & garlic
4tblsp tomato puree
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
2tsp Worcestershire sauce
1tblsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp dried mixed herbs
200g sugar snap peas
1 red + 1 yellow pepper, deseeded and cut into bite sized pieces
Wedges
4 baking potatoes, cut into thick wedges
Frylight
1 tsp dried parsley
2 tsp garlic salt
1 tblsp black peppercorns, coarsely ground
Slaw
½ red cabbage finely shredded
¼ green cabbage, finely shredded
2 carrots, peeled and finely grated
½ red onion, very thinly sliced
Juice of 2 lemons
salt & freshly ground black pepper
1. Preheat oven to 200˚C/fan 180˚/gas 6 and line a baking tray with baking paper. Boil the potato wedges for 5-6 mins. Drain well, return to the pan and leave to steam dry for 30 secs.
2. Arrange the wedges on the tray in a single layer, spray with Frylight and sprinkle over the dried parsley, garlic salt and black pepper. Bake for 25-30 mins, or until golden.
3. Meanwhile, mix all the slaw ingredients in a bowl, season and toss well.
4. Place a large pan sprayed with Frylight over a high heat. Add the chicken and onion and stir-fry for 4-5 mins, or until lightly browned. Add the diet coke, stock, passata, tomato pure!, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce and dried mixed herbs and stir well. Bring to the boil, cover, reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 12-15 mins.
5. Add the sugar snap peas and peppers, stir and increase the heat to medium-high. Cook for 10-15 mins or until the chicken is cooked through and the veg are tender. serve with the wedges and slaw.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
Have a Happy Anniversary when it comes taz. Amsterdam's a lovely place, hope you enjoy it. It should be easy to take food for the first night. Make anything SW friendly you fancy (salad, pasta salad, cold meat, fruit) and if you're worried about chilling then freeze a small water bottle and bin it after it's defrosted. You could take a flask of soup if you wanted something hot. On the way back's more difficult but you could buy some bits in a supermarket in Amsterdam.
countingpennies, don't spoil your weekend by worrying about food. If there are healthy choices available and you like them then be moderate but otherwise we'll keep a seat on the wagon ready for Monday.;)
Great news about the ball tickets lantanna and I know just where you're coming from about something to wear. I spoke to a friend this week about something we're going to next month. She's miserable because none of her dressy outfits fit any more (no sympathy as she eats too many cakes and she knows both me and her DD would help if she wanted to do something about it) but I just did a quick mental wardrobe check and I have just the thing. AND I know I could buy new if I wanted and there'd be plenty to fit.:D
Getting into a rain jacket could be a good target ginvzt but _pale_ to the pig's ear!

Up silly O clock this morning full of a cold again what is it about a cold that makes you want to eat have been good though and only had apple and yoghurt. Sorry have forgotten who posted about the Honey Crunch apples from Asda but can confirm they are lovely, best apple I have had in a long time.Slimming World at target0

So much for being straight back on the wagon, it lasted 2 days and then had a big bump and haven't stopped munching since.

line drawn, fresh start today. It doesn't help that diet thoughts are churning round and round in my head: "Shall I switch to WW, so I can eat everything and just point it", "Shall I go low carb" etc etc
But I have decided, I am sticking to SW. No need to count much, no fads and awkward dilemmas etc, I just need to commit again, be happy with small losses and just get on with it.
so today I am going to have my HEb for breakfast (I usually keep them for late night snacking)
nice filling porridge with a banana
lunch: tuna salad with pickled beetroot, red onion, cucumber tomatoes, peppers, lettuce etc.
tea: burger and SW chips from actifry, slice of fake cheese (will syn it)
with veg or salad
no idea about syns yet.
Enjoy your cruise to Amsterdam and if you want to be good eating wise, avoid the chips with mayonaise, (I love them)
Have a good day, eat well.0 -
1 lb loss for me Shala
Getting in to the 16 stone bracket eludes me once again
Not feeling confident for next week either as it is my wedding anniversary on Monday and be and OH are going on a mini cruise to Amsterdam.
Any suggestions of light weight, on plan food we can take with us that does not need A chilling or B heating up.
The food on the boat is super expensive for what it is so we will be taking food for Monday night, having breakfast Tuesday morning, day in Amsterdam then need something to eat Tuesday night. Breakfast Weds is sorted.Slimming World at target0 -

Agree with Maman. Amsterdam is lovely. Taking food with you for the first night is easy and just buying something from the SM for on the journey home.
Also agree with ? - avoid the chips & mayo!

Just go and enjoy the weekend and then get straight back on plan when you get back; although as Maman says if there are healthy options you like then have them.So much for being straight back on the wagon, it lasted 2 days and then had a big bump and haven't stopped munching since.

mumoftwo - I don't know if you go to group but if you do how about buying a 12 week countdown (and getting a free Chrismas book!)? I always used to buy countdowns as a way of committing to sticking with SW.
I'm having a Green day today:
B - porridge, Mullerlight, banana (HEB)
L - toasted cheese sandwich (HEA/HEB)
D - lentil & cauliflower pilaf (a recipe from the latest Waitrose magazine)
2nd HEA will be milk in tea throughout the day.
Syns will be "spent" on weekend wine:):):)
I'm also planning on making a beef bourgignon ready for dinner tomorrow night.
