I've made some comments about your menu plans for yesterday and today. You should also have some syns each day - between 5 and 15.

A lot of people, including me, find that weight loss seems to be better when having the full 15 syns a day.

Have a good read of the first post of the thread where it explains how Slimming World work.

Hope you find my comments helpful.

Hi Denise, I noticed you said to have 1 or 2 HEA a day and 2 HEB a day. Have a read that right? Because I thought I was only ment to have 1 of each a day?? Still trying to get my head around the plan :o

I have seen in the list that yome of you have targets - what is the deadline for these targets? Is it end of November?

It is my birthday too next week, and I am having a cake, no matter what. So, I am probably pushing myself, but I am going to go for 10lb loss from the starting number for my November 18th Weigh In. that is in 5 weeks and I need to get 8,5lb off in those weeks!

I would love to get my "club 10" loss by the end of November but I think it may be a little optimistic as its 1st 6lb ,

Your target seems much more realistic! Good luck!

We all have our individual targets obviously, but we run challenges on the thread and I think we're in week 6 of 8. Shala usually posts the list on a Tuesday night.

So the next challenge on here will start in a couple of week and you set whatever you'd like to lose by Christmas and join the challenge list if you would like to. No requirement but it helps me and I'm sure others to set smaller interim targets with the support from the lovelies on here :)

CP are you a vegetarian? i think Denise is working from the fact that your days look like green days (from the old plan) rather than an extra easy day.

For green days you can have 2 Hebs and 1 or 2 heas..

If you're following EE then it is just 1 heb and 1 hea a day..

Ginvzt - i think the current challenge ends on 26th October.. new one starting the day after, on the 27th, so i can add a target on for you up to the 26th October if you want or you can wait for the new challenge to start.. up to you :D

Thanks Shala, I will wait till the next on, as it is two weeks to go. I am just putting my own challenges on my spreadsheet for now.

When I was going to class, we used to have WI at 7pm, so some days I will have a light dinner, others, if the work was later, just a quick snack and then something a bit more when I get home. We used to have people too coming to the class and bringing a box of food with them, which I find a bit silly - as in the end it is not the number in the book that matters, but how you feel. As long as you continue similar pattern each week, it doesn't really matter if you had your dinner before or after. Since ours started at 7pm, and I would only be home just before 9pm, often I had to eat something before going or I would feel ill with hunger by that time!

Fair enough if it works for you, however for new members I would point out that whatever you start doing (wearing shorts and a light top/not eating or drinking/etc.) you need to do every week for ever more.

When I did Fresh Start (NHS equivalent of SW) I made the mistake of cycling for 2 hours beforehand and then thinking I would have a big drink after weigh in. I lost 6lbs that week but had to do similar for the remaining four weeks of the classes!

My weigh in is tonight, I feel I've done well this week and not slipped up so would like a decent loss, I struggle to judge the difference from my own scales to their scales, so not sure how much they'll think I've lost.

Hopefully I'll be a Slimmer of the week contender though!

Feeling brighter now and back on the plan with vigour, but I made a booboo today. Saw Alpen light on sale - 2 packs for £2 and thought, brilliant, they are HExBs!!! Only I was remembering old, old info, I believe and they are 3 syns each instead.

Oh, but so much better than the cakes and pastries that someone bought into the office this morning for their birthday. :A

Good news - Alpen Lights are now back to being HEB (2 for HEB) - as long as it says "70 calories" on the front of the box. The recipe got changed back after loads of complaints I think (probably from SW members, LOL)!

PS Look like I should have read through all the posts before answering, as this has already been said!

Looking at your menus it seems you are following the Green Plan, so you can have 1 or 2 HEA plus 2 HEB.

If you can, it might be a good idea just to go to a group to get the books & have the new member talk - that way you'd have a far better understanding of how the plans work. They'll only talk about EE but if you are Veggie (or want to follow Green) then tell the consultant so she can go through the Green plan with you.

A random trawl on the internet saw me read a post about a woman who left her group as she was annoyed by never getting Slimmer of the Week. She was a member for four weeks only! I thought this was a bit bonkers but then that is just me!!

Crabapple - I have no other half , but the ex contender for the other half did say please don't let your boobs go and a man in my work who is always highly inappropriate did once say it would be a sad day if my boobs went. :rotfl: Men!! Lol

Sick of the speed soup now - think theres enough for two bowls but not sure I can face them and the roof is nearly coming off at night!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually can't wait to start a new challenge, I've not been focused at all during this one. But I can feel a getting slinky for santa focus coming along!!!!!!!
