Made it to wi tonight and its a 4.5lb loss shala - so I got my 4st shiney, SOTW and made it into the 16s. :j Bought a 12 wk countdown tonight and booked the 29th December as holiday. Wasn't tempted by much at the taster session tonight - perhaps it was just the way I was feeling. Got into see my lovely gp this afternoon and I am now on more meds so will see effect these have.
Hope the meds are kicking in Crabapple. Poorly sore ears are horrible nasty things.
Well done poohbear, shell belle and all our losers :T
Great that you have got back on it straightaway mumoftwo. Oh licquorice - I love it.
Porridge Pancakes ginvzt????? Tell me more please. Is the recipe on SW online?
Sorry Mildredd had to smile at your comment about only being bad on date night. Lets hope you're getting plenty of BM :rotfl::rotfl:
I think I would try and stick with the class if I were you Flat Eric especially when you are having a difficult time with it all. My friend joined SW with me and in the same time as I have lost 4st she has lost around 1.5st but she is quite happy with that. What she says is - if she wasn't doing SW (even in her way) she would be at least 1.5st heavier. Planning I think is one of the key things in losing with SW. Can you get any ideas of meals from all the menus posted here? Try to keeping popping in here as often as you can and you will get support by the bucket full.
Oh it will be lovely to have something to look forward to Shala. Yes that target is achievable - you can do it and you will have a fab time.
Had a lovely supper tonight when I got back in from wi - corned beef sarnies with some 'fried' tinned potatoes followed by a Chocolate gingerbread round thing from Lidl (don't know don't care how many syns) followed by a Lindt chocolate ball (big one not the little baby ones) and it was all very nice.
Oh well that's it for me for today. Off for chest xray tomorrow and had email to say that dress has arrived at Matalan so might talk nicely to DH and see if he fancies a drive out to pick it up for me. I am supposed to be taking things easy for a little while - honest - drs orders.

Thanks for such a warm welcome everyone!Welcome CountingPennies :hello:
I don't have any problems with will power and work in a school kitchenI just pretend everything tastes nasty and will make me feel _pale_
I work in a restaurant where food is provided for staff. Nothing healthy (its pizzas) and its killing me not having any! BUT, i've survived 6 days with no rubbish so far. Better pay off at WI tomorrow.
Todays plan went out of the window. Woke up at 1am with a stomach virus and i've felt so ill all day! Hardly ate a thing but feel starving. Gonna try and get some sleep now and hopefully I will feel better in the morning.
Debating buying a 12 week pass tomorrow. Might help me stick to it and I quite like the look of the free christmas book
Anyway, couple of questions if thats ok.....
1) Do you use syns evenly spread on a daily basis or have loads one day then none for a few days?? I had one day with 19 syns but a couple days with 6/7. Is that ok or do I need to stick to 10-15 a day??
2) My WI in tomorrow at 6pm. Never been to a class where I get weighed on a night before. Do I need to starve myself till I get weighed or just eat normally? Planning on wearing the same clothes I work last week when I joined.
Wishing everyone a good SW week ahead

Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly, hope you'll feel better after a night's sleep.
To answer your questions:- lots of us on here (me included) use a weekly 'syns bank' of 105 syns and then subtract from it through the week. So syns are spread through the week. Personally I eat fairly syn free during the week and save my syns for weekends. It's not the official SW way but what you've done should be fine.
- you don't need to starve yourself but lots of people do. I think for a 6pm WI most would have lunch but save their dinner until they got home. I go to a morning WI and many of the members bring their breakfast with them. Personally I don't think it matters as long as you try to do roughly the same thing every week like you're doing with the clothes.

I agree with Denise FE, i think if you go it alone you won't have the fear of weigh in at least stopping you from completely going off the rails.
I've found planning really hard too so what i've done is make a menu board - not necessary for you to make one - but the prinicple would work.
Write some cards with different meals on and then once a week just pick them out the "hat" for each day - you could do this for all your meals - breakfast/lunch/dinner and have a ready made meal plan in minutes.
You can write your ingredients on the back of the card and also have your shopping list ready in minutes too.
I've found it's worked really well last week for us and although it took me an hour or so to write the cards, it's literally saved me an hour each week of trying to decide what to eat!
No thinking involved and minimal effort - works for me every time
Going to be employing some of these tactics - I love the idea of menu cards - life made so much easier.
Secondly thank you , Beanie, Kiwi, Maman and Shala for the power-up there. I'm sorry it's taken a couple of days to say that. After the 'sod it' huff I didn't see the gain I expected. Not sure how this is so, but...
SHALA -1lb this week please.
I think part of my problem - (like you've all pointed out) - is the need to plan, at the minute I am allowing myself to be bounced from thing to thing. Yesterday was spent cooking SW friendly fridge raiderness. (Quiches mostly!) and a nice winter soup. Curry for tea tonight. (I do plan my meals I just don't always take the time to eat them = mass snack attack!)
I don't know why the media thinks we all have this money, but as my special offer at the gym is about to die, we certainly can not afford it- so it's back to the WiiI know I won't go to gym in winter, even though I really do feel better for the efforts. Will save some other type of pounds there

Hope everyone is feeling well today. It's another horrible grey and wet day, it really makes me feel quite down.
Congratulations to all the losers and virtual hugs to those who gained and don't know why.
Having a Green day today:
B - scrambled eggs on toast
L - frittata & salad
D - cauliflower cheese
HEA1 & 2 - 250ml SS milk
HEB1 - bread
HEB2 - 40g reduced fat cheddar
Have bananas, pears, apples & oranges to snack on. Will buy some more grapes when I go shopping later.
Cauli cheese will be made using HEA2 & HEB2 (milk & cheese) to make a proper cheese sauce - I really don't like SW cheese sauce, it always seems to split for me.
Not sure what syns I'll have today but need to try and keep to fairly low (around 6 or 7). Had 5.5 syns yesterday so have 13 syns left for today and tomorrow.

Had a great nights sleep thanks. Unfortunately as soon as i woke up the stomach cramps started again and therefore i'm still running back/forth to the bathroom (sorry if tmi). Might aid me a good first week though:rotfl:
Thanks for that. I think I will do the 105 a week thingy. Going away this weekend so it will certainly come in useful knowing I have have a nice weekend as long i'm i'm good the rest of the week.
As for eating before hand, I ate last week so i'm gonna do as you suggest and have lunch but not tea/dinner. I don't think I could function starving myself till 8pm when I get home! Obviously i'm going to SW for a reason, and starving myself is far from that reason :rotfl:
Have a good day everyone. No much of a meal plan for me due to poorly stomach but will try and manage something later. Will possibly aim for:
B: Can't manage this yet
L: Jacket potato or sandwich, will see how I feelI actually can't function with these stomach cramps, will update later

I don't know if it is on SW online, but here is the recipe:
Ingredients- 35g porridge oats or 1 sachet of Oats So Simple
- 1 vanilla Muller light (175g)
- 2 eggs
- Approximately 4 tablespoons Sweetener (this is a case of trial and error and can change depending on taste)
- Fry Light
Instructions- Mix together the porridge oats and the Muller Light and leave in the fridge overnight. (I did in the morning and left it for 20min or so while I showered)
- Once you have taken the oats and yoghurt mixture out of the fridge, add the eggs and stir in well.
- Add the sweetener and stir in well.
- Spray Fry Light onto the frying pan and heat through well.
I made mine with Oat so simple Golden syrup packet, plain low fat yogurt as we don't have Müller light here and no sweetener. I know it is not free in this case, but I only managed to grab a couple before my son ate the rest. My daugther only was allowed to eat two as he ate the rest just stuffing them in his mouth!!!CountingPennies wrote: »2) My WI in tomorrow at 6pm. When I was going to class, we used to have WI at 7pm, so some days I will have a light dinner, others, if the work was later, just a quick snack and then something a bit more when I get home. We used to have people too coming to the class and bringing a box of food with them, which I find a bit silly - as in the end it is not the number in the book that matters, but how you feel. As long as you continue similar pattern each week, it doesn't really matter if you had your dinner before or after. Since ours started at 7pm, and I would only be home just before 9pm, often I had to eat something before going or I would feel ill with hunger by that time!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
