  • No idea what happened with my earlier post, I saw the post title as that and some other posts, I presumed people could see what I actually wrote.

Had a good weekend, although we had guests here, but they seemed happy to eat the SW stuff, tried KFC chicken, SW Chilli, SW Cajun Kebabs, all went down well.

Not sure about Christmas myself, my main issue is all the extra eating I do, rather than Christmas dinner itself. I think I can work round it as vegetables, turkey and bacon are free. Will come a bit unstuck on bread sauce, cranberry sauce, sausages and roast potatoes. As well as christmas pud I suppose.

I just have to avoid sitting there eating handfuls of nuts and chocolate I think

Hello all, well done on the losses!

Had a bit of a moment on saturday - was making cake pops (first try) for the kids and birst batch forgot to butter the form. Had no intention to eat the cake pops themselves, but as I was scooping the sponge with the spoon out of the form, quite a few spoons ended in my mouth instead of the plate before I realised what I am doing!!!!!!! So, made the rest, and packed them away to the friends not to be tempted to eat them! Kids enjoyed the sponge from the first batch, so they were fine with it.

I made the sy-free 'cake' I found online last Friday and I still have two slices left (basicly it looks a bit like swiss roll, but no flour, just a bit of baking powder). And I tried porridge pancakes too, which I loved - and children did too! I made one portion, but barely got any, as my son was scoffing them at unbelievable speed!

We went out for a train trip to another town yesterday, and I had an asian salad (been sprouts, carrots, some peanuts, a few prawns) and three small chinese pancakes with the duck, etc... We did share some ice cream between four of us too...

We went to see friends for dinner and ordered takeaway, and trying to be good I had salad with no dressing, but then had a small slice of pizza too as the kids did not eat anything.

    Still today:

    B: porridge
L: Salad+2 eggs, and some crackers left over from long ago in my desk drawer...
    D: whatever OH makes...

Snacks: bananas, grapes, pear, satsuma, plums

That's certainly better than nothing mildredd. I find it relatively easy to eat almost syn free most of the time then save up syns for treats like off plan meals.

ginvzt, is your OH on board with SW so will he make something SW friendly?

jock, there are loads of low syn sausages out there and personally I'm really happy with SW roast potatoes and parsnips. I find them so much easier to make than basting in fat/oil anyhow.

He is not following plan himself, but is happy to make dinners SW friendly, as long as I curb his enthusiasm for oil, etc. I need to print him out the list of all the free foods and heatly extras to put on the cupboard in the kitchen to help him along...

That's good. My DH makes our breakfast every day and that's exactly what I did with him: write a list of all the things I could have, which bread, frylight to hand etc. He gets it right 99% of the time.:)

Maman I can do that but doing it long term I start to feel deprived but I need to be sensible really and stick with it?
I can't put weight back on and I need to get to target to stop paying ;)
I can do it I can just need to curb the mindless syns really now
Least it's only 2 meals out a week at the mo that's bad but they tend to be very bad :/

I'm presuming someone was bored and hacked mse and have messed up messages? Sorry if I ignored anyone but it was coz I couldn't read your message :/

He can barely get out of bed when I am getting up, no chance of him making my breakfast. Although he did make coffee this morning that I didn't have... I have been taking some porridge with me to work these days and we have a bean-to-cup coffee machine here, so I just my breakfast at the desk... As well as lunch...
