You got me thinking tweets - I have two new pairs of pjs (22s) stuck in the drawer. Don't know why I'm keeping them. I think they are the same as the ones I'm wearing now - better get them out and used before they are too big - bit of wishful thinking going on there I think.

Not feeling as sickly today and I have managed to keep meds down and eat more today (on plan so far ;)) but I will still need to visit the gp tomorrow :(. Last time I had a few days of sickness I ended up having a huge loss at next wi but then it seemed to knock my system all to pot and even though I was sticking to plan one week I had a gain, then two sts and a 0.5lb loss. At least if it happens this time I know what to expect. Might make it to wi tomorrow night but I will just have to wait and see how I feel - might leave before Image Therapy (I have stopped every other week honest ;))

OH has just offered to make supper - 1 large slice of wholemeal toast, little bit of branston stuff and hexa of lf cheese. Mum sent some Lindt choc balls (4 syns I think) so might have one of those with a cuppa afterwards.

Well done on the losses everyone. :T

    Welcome Inazuma :hello:

I know from when they did fit (sorry for bragging) they a small size 16 :p :rotfl::rotfl:

I've had another week/weekend where I've not stuck to plan and "as per usual" I don't have the motivation to be good before weigh in tomorrow.

I'm tempted to call it a day and have a break from the weekly class but can't quite see that I will manage on my own without putting on more weight and returning in January heavier, frustrated and annoyed with myself but at the same time really feel I need a break.

Its my own fault, work has been all consuming so instead of having time to plan meals, I rush out the door in the morning having had the bare minimum for breakfast, no lunch planned and no healthy snacks. I then feed on the office sweets and biscuits to keep me going throughout the morning before buying lunch from somewhere where I can't control the syns. Then I arrive home in the evening and feel so fed up and stressed that I pick something very unhealthy for tea?

I could waffle on forever! but in short, do I give up class and try on my own or stick with it?

Hi everyone. Am I ok to join in the conversation? I joined SW last tuesday and just saw this pop up in the new post bit of the forum so thought i'd have a look.

I have 3 stone to loose so feels like i've a long road ahead of me as I have minimal will power!

    CP xx

    Welcome CountingPennies :hello:

I don't have any problems with will power and work in a school kitchen :D I just pretend everything tastes nasty and will make me feel _pale_

I have been very serious about sticking to SW properly recently and was repaid with a 3lb weight loss this week. I have a question though.

Yesterday I made shepherds pie with sweet potato on top. As I had no other carbs could it have been a red day where I should have had two HEB AND two HEA?

I can't remember what I was aiming to lose in Autumn buy I think it was 14lbs. I am just 2lbs away from it.
DS AND DDIL have paid for me to swim with dolphins in November so I would like to have fewer wobbly bits by then. Five weeks to go and aim is for another 10lbs.

Even with going to group you're not really sticking with SW so I think if you try and go it alone you'll probably end up putting far more on than if you keep going to group.

You say you don't have time to plan but how about sitting down this evening and planning for the next couple of days and then on Wednesday evening planning until the weekend? At the weekend try and plan for the whole week. The plan doesn't have to be "set in stone" but it would give you some ideas of what to have using stuff you've got in.

It could possibly have been a Red day but the sweet potato would have been one of your HEBs but only if you had left the skin on, which you probably didn't as it was mashed.

In all probability you actually had an EE day.

Just added up my syns since WI on Thursday and have 18.5 syns left until Wednesday - so 6 a day; should be doable.

Today will be another EE day:

B - porridge made with water, Mullerlight Vanilla, banana
    L - Fritatta, HM coleslaw & pickles
D - LO pulled pork, chips & coleslaw (beans for DH as he's not keen on coleslaw)

HEA - milk in teas throughout the day
    HEB - porridge

Syns - not sure yet but possibly some LTL mayo on the coleslaw; fruit split lolly 3

    Wow, it was awesome :)

Great to see you getting back into the right mind set and enjoying it Beanie :)
Just to let you know there has been a bit of a breakthrough in what I am starting to wear. Tried a dress on at Matalan the other day and was sort of semi impressed but the sizes they had in stock were either too small or too big so I ordered the missing size online and its on its way. Friend is dying to get me into dresses and thick tights but atm I just haven't got the confidence. To make the purchase even sweeter - 20% off online not instore ;)

I also picked up the top which quite appealed to go with leggings - which are another new addition to my wardrobe ;).

    And .......... I got some fab tunic/dresses from George - fab value at around £10 - £12.

Debating about one of these coats - size 22 fits, looks nice but not a great deal of spare room and size 24 is maybe a tad loose but room for a jumper so I'm still debating - I will leave it too long and when I go back everything will be out of stock. :rotfl:

Second load of washing just about finished so I will sort that and then get into bathroom before DH and then try ringing gps for appt.

Sorry for rambling - I will leave you all in peace now :D

That dress looks lovely B_e_g, and my daughter has the coat in red and it looks lovely on her. Hope you enjoy your new additions :p

    EE Menu

L: Mushy pea curry & rice. Mixed berries. Tea with milk.
D: Braised chicken, mashed pot (2 butter), SW roast parsnips & roast pots, 4 x veg, Gravy (2). Pink wafer (3), 2 choc fingers (4).
    Tea with milk.

    S: Cocoa.

BM: Callanetics - seem to have a bit more energy today.

I agree with Denise FE, i think if you go it alone you won't have the fear of weigh in at least stopping you from completely going off the rails.

I've found planning really hard too so what i've done is make a menu board - not necessary for you to make one - but the prinicple would work.

Write some cards with different meals on and then once a week just pick them out the "hat" for each day - you could do this for all your meals - breakfast/lunch/dinner and have a ready made meal plan in minutes.

You can write your ingredients on the back of the card and also have your shopping list ready in minutes too.

I've found it's worked really well last week for us and although it took me an hour or so to write the cards, it's literally saved me an hour each week of trying to decide what to eat!

No thinking involved and minimal effort - works for me every time :D

I'm feeling a bit more onto today after reading an article about 'self-monitoring' devices and how they can motivate you to do things you wouldn't otherwise if no one was looking. So this week I am wearing my virtual 'Fitbit' and going to exercise and take the stairs and everything. :rotfl:

After my weekend disaster of finding I didn't buy the chicken that was meant to be Sunday and today's dinner I ended up scraping the bottom of the freezer and making SW Lamb Hotpot (the picture is so wrong) for today with some old lamb steaks. It was really lovely and two portions went back in the freezer for another day - so easy to do alongside other stuff I was cooking yesterday as there was no frying off or anything needed to be done in advance.

    B. Yoghurt (1) & Banana
    L. Bacon & cream cheese (2) sandwich (HexB) with bowl salad
    D. Lamb Hotpot (0.5) with cabbage, carrots and peas
    Snack: Apple
    Mortgage
    Start January 2017: $268,012
    Latest balance $266,734
    Reduction: $1,278.45

    Morning all,

That's me back from my visit to see my family. Stood on the scales this morning and +4lb please Shala
Oh well, a good time was had by all. The bread was so tasty

I'm right back on plan, don't want to keep eating in holiday mode so egg and spinach for breakfast, chicken salad for lunch and not sure about tea or HEs yet.

Had 2 little bits of Dutch liquorice - 1 1/2 syns (I weighed them, lol)just got to try not to eat the whole bag at once.

Away to read back through a few pages, see what you've been up to
