  • Happy Thursday everyone. I've had my first full nights sleep for over a week and feel great today.
    Today's menu
    HEA milk
    HEB bran flakes
    B bran flakes and banana
    L couscous, chicken and salad
D lamb style quorn fillet (0.5) with veggie casserole, fruitopolis (0.5)
Snacks clementines, grapes, maybe a hifi bar
Still not up to any BM yet so a quiet day methinks.

P.s. has anyone else tried the new "honey crunch" apples from asda? They are gorgeous - so crisp and tasty. £2 for 4 so not the cheapest apples but the nicest I have had for a long time and they put pink lady's into a cocked hat.

Well done SOTW and all the other great big losses - I'm still on the downward spiral thinking and not likely to be winning any medals but not had such a bad day today. In hindsight now I have come to write it down it's better that I thought and haven't had many syns nor Hex B.

    B. Yoghurt and Frozen Strawberries
    L. Big bowl of salad with beetroot and low fat feta cheese (guessing 6 at worst)
    D. HM Chicken Curry from freezer with added fresh tomatoes and chopped up peppers + half bag of Uncle Bens Mushroom rice (1)
    Snack: Apple
    Mortgage
    Start January 2017: $268,012
    Latest balance $266,734
    Reduction: $1,278.45

I had honey crunch apples before (ok, not from ASDA), and they are really nice! I want one right now!!!!!!!!!

    B: Banana, porridge
L: will be pizza, as we are offered italian, and the pastas from this place seem to be all in a cream sauce or baked with cheese, etc, so not that inviting, really...
D: Depends on what my OH prepares, he was talking about roasting a piece of pork, so hope for that with lots of veg!

Snacks - banana, cucumber and carrot sticks with hummus (nearly finished...), and some other fruit once I get home. And maybe a yogurt or fat free quark. (Fat free yugurt seems to be hard to find here unless it is plain, and the ones I tried taste exactly like flour mixed with water...)

Good luck to all for weigh in!!!

I like the sound of these apples, will give them a go. I have been looking for Jonagold which is one of my favourite but haven't found them so far.

meg~Either do what Maman says & have a big push or decide that if you are not at the target you want to be at by say the end of October then you will ammend your target.

Thanks Beanie Mamon and Shala I didn't know I could amend my target but have decided to take Mamons advice and have real good try to do it. as I know I will feel I have failed if I give up.

I aim to start on Monday as have meals out again this weekend
which is loely and I don't want to worry about syns.

    Morning all!

Pleased to see your losses Minihauk, flutterby, jock (brill!), matron, jellybaby, tizzy and Annie. You all put me to shame; I must do better :(

Congrats on being SOW, crabapple – and on another loss!

Oh Beanie, I LOVE potato scones! I want one now ……. Thanks, matron, for syns value. I think if I don’t know how many there are, it must be free, lol Don’t know if I would justify 6.5 syns ....... well, probably ;)

    Hello, ginvz, redbull8 and callyb.

Denise, I’ve scanned some of my mags too, but I only print if I want to use the recipe, then I throw it away (I print on pre used paper). It’s a bit of a faff looking through them sometimes, though, but I'm trying to get rid of my paper mountain.

Yesterday started well (how often have I said that?).
    Breakfast: mackerel on hexb toast
Lunch: tomato & herb mug shot, peach light fruitopolis (0.5 syn)
Dinner: not a proper one as I was at grandson's birthday tea, so it was pizza, sausage rolls, crisps etc and a wee bit of birthday cake
Supper: 3 light mini babybels and grapes

    Thursday's menu
    Breakfast: poached eggs & beans
Lunch: pepper & cheese couscous, banana
    Dinner: salmon, mash & veg, Hartley's 10 jelly (0.5)

I will try very hard to be good.

Well back from WI and damage no where near as bad as expected - just 1lb on - no idea how, certainly not deserved, just hope I can stick to plan all week and get back to target again.

There was some of my curry & rice left from taster this morning so have just had some. Probably enough for another lunch so may freeze it to have one day next week.

Definitely a Green Day as didn't have any meat at taster this morning (there was only chicken legs and I'm a bit funny about eating chicken cooked by other people!) Had about 5 syns on a couple of sweet things, although most things were Free.

HEA will be milk in teas throughout the day. May use some cheese on my jacket potato & beans as 2nd HEA.
May have my 2 HEBs as a toasted cheese sandwich this evening - if I don't it means I won't have had any HEB but certainly won't worry about it. It's very rare that I don't have one.

Very well done Annie, fabulous loss :T Congrats also to Matron Midge, Jock, jellybaby & tazzyb. That's just in the last 2 pages, loads of losses!

    Welcome redbull and callyb

Meg - I'd agree with the others on seeing if you can push for a week or so and if you don't hit it, call it. You don't want such a small amount making you feel down about not making your target!

Well done joedenise as well, no matter how it happened, 1lb gain that you can explain is nothing to worry about!

First of all - well done on SOTW!!!! I remember your name too from the thread - how is your (not so) little one?
    .

She's doing good thanks. Mad as toddlers are, constantly moving and will not shut up talking! You've got two?! They are crazy at this age but so much fun :) I'm just dreading my little one starting to move (he's just started crawling backwards!) and the two of them causing chaos!
