Pleased considering I've done v little BM and been on codeine and antibiotics for a week.
I won the veg box in the raffle too so going to have a cook up tonight :- veg casserole, soup and bubble and squeak cakes for freezer.
Not many weeks left in this challenge so I too am going for it this week!

:T to jock and all other losers especially those close to a shiny.

Thanks for the magazine idea denise and great that your mojo is creeping back:). I have a recipe file too and a box where I keep things I've cut out/printed. They get transferred to the file when tried and tested. I'll copy your idea if you don't mind. It'll be a good excuse to re-read the magazines too and add to motivation.

Incidentally, ginvzt, I think the magazines really are worth the money. Not only are the before/after stories motivating but the recipes are the ones that eventually get put together in the SW cookbooks although loads are available through Google too. Another bit of advice I'd give is to set a WI day and weigh only on that day/time every week controlling as many variables as possible (clothes, meals etc). Do they have scales in pharmacies in Germany?

    My EE plan for today:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB Shreddies, HEA milk
L: ham with fried potatoes and veg
    D: SW Bolognese
    Syns: none????
  • What does HM stand for in HM Chicken Breast?

Thanks for the info on Scan Bran, I think I might convert to Ryvita to be honest, they weren't the nicest things ever. Was looking at a couple of them and a Dairylea as a vaguely healthy snack and to use some syns.

    Hi all,

    I joined SW again on 02/09/2014 weighing a rather unhealthy 14st 6lbs.
I used to exercise (swim, zumba, mini trampoline) but after a neck injury, I became sedentary and that combined with medication (and probably a little bit of comfort eating), I piled on over 3st in 1.5yrs.

Anyway, I'm sort of on the mend (i.e. I can move again now!) and decided enough was enough and I couldn't go on feeling so uncomfortable in my own skin.

I love the plan and keep a log of everything I eat. I weigh/measure my HE's and haven't felt hungry so far. I usually do EE with the occasional GREEN.

So far i'm doing ok and have lost 9.5lbs:
    Wk1: 3.5lbs
    Wk2: 2.5lbs
    Wk3: 2.5lbs
Wk4: No weigh in due to hospital appointment
Wk5: 1lb - I know a loss is a loss and I should be happy but I was quite disappointed with it seeing as it was for two weeks and I did actually stick to plan.

The only thing I can think of in the last few weeks is that I've not had as much food but have def had my quota of veg/free foods.
I know it sounds crazy, but I do sometimes struggle to use my syns. I tend to fill up on free foods/HE's and if I fancy something sweet, will have some grapes, a yogurt, frozen banana, fruit ryvita or Hifi bar(s) (as part of my B choice).

I do quite a bit of cooking so have good control over what goes into my tummy! :)
I recently made SW tomato soup, its not like Heinz by any stretch of the imagination but its ok. I think with a few tweaks, it could be nicer, but its free and ideal for taking the hunger off.

I hope to get some good recipes and advice from this thread and will contribute where I can.

Good luck to everyone on their SW journey.
    Keep going, don't lose motivation!

    Hello my lovelies

Been reading but lurking as just feeling bleugh and so unmotivated. Debated all day yesterday about going to class and eventually did and lost a 1lb! Happy with that but need a massive kick up the derriere please:( I know I'm feeling like this due to the amount of work I'm doing on the house, work is sooooo busy and DS2's attitude at the moment is not exactly worrying me but giving me plenty to think about. I keep telling myself this is all excuses, some have major problems and stress to deal with so get a grip!

Had toast and banana for breakfast and brought a salad, fruit and yoghurt in to work with me. Out for dinner tonight so will try and be sensible. Will be driving so no alcohol, that will hopefully help!

    Normal service hopefully resumed soon:D

    Take care all x
