    Welcome to the newbies :hello:
Good luck to those returning to work/normality after the 6-week holidays :)

    Green day for me today:

B - banana, blueberries, strawberries & greek yoghurt (3.5 syns)
L - beans on toast (HEB1) with grated cheese (HEA1).
D - HM veggie pasta, grated cheese (HEA2), wholemeal pitta (HEB2) & salad

I have plums & pears for snacking if I get peckish during the day.

Have a lovely day everyone, I'm off to investigate lilian's homity pie recipe (thanks for posting it).

Oooh, that homity pie looks lovely! Thank you lillian. May try that out on hubby sometime soon - so long as it's got cheese in/on he's happy with most things!

The nurse did weigh me but I couldn't work out what my weight was cos it was a dial scale and the lines were too close together! Then she wrote it down in kilos and I only work in 'old money' :rotfl:. Did look to be lower than I weighed in at last week :)

OH now wants in on Slimming World after dinner last night! However he has a tendency to eat a lot of mars bars/cakes etc - what man sized low syn treats can I suggest to him (things I don't need to prepare that he can buy in bulk and take to work)?

Mmmm, that Homity pie does indeed look scrumptious!!

Will definitely be trying it as the original recipe, but do you think it would also work with cooked pasta instead of the potato?? Sorry, I'm a bit of a tweaker :o

I'm not sure about man-sized treats, but someone said that Wispas, Twirls & Cadbury Caramels (I think) were 8.5 syns per bar out of a multi-pack. I'm guessing that must be less than a Mars Bar.

I'm sure it would work with pasta but I'd make it as more of a cheesy bake rather than adding the egg.

Thanks for the tips on Wispas etc, I'm sure that would be ok with him xx

  • Hi All

After this weekend I am drawing a huge line, I need to but its not many 90th birthday parties you get to attend.

    _______________________________________________________

    Sunday was nearly on plan
    Monday was fully on plan

    Menu for today so far

B- Natural Yogurt and frozen fruit
    L- Stew
Snacks for morning and this afternoon - Side salad and pickled onions.

Not sure about dinner but think it will be pasta with tomatoes, onions, peppers, mixed beans and mushrooms.
  • Hello you lot and thanks for the warm welcome! I'll be following the EE plan on SW. Hope I am doing this right.....

Right - todays meal plan is:

B - porridge made with milk (HEA) and a banana
L - Home made cottage pie (mince, oxo, carrots, mushrooms, peas and onion with mash on the top) with green beans, cauliflower and broccoli. Hartleys sugar free jelly and a muller light for pud (1 syn)
T - chicken salad with 1 slice wholemeal bread
S - boiled egg and 1 slice wholemeal bread (HEB)
Snacks: plums, apples, grapes and a kids size dairy milk bar (5.5 syns)

    Have a great day everyone!
Hoping to be debt free by the end of 2015 :)
    SW challenge: 3/14lbs by Halloween!
  • Morning all (just!).

Pleased to report a 2lb loss this week. Amazing considering how naughty I've been. Not pushing my luck though and am firmly back on plan. Menu for today:

    B - Fruit
L - A concoction of stir fried chicken, peppers, onions and mushrooms in a tomato sauce with rice and a side of veg (once I've been and bought them!)
D - Ham and egg salad

Snacks - Yoghurt and maybe a slice of wholmeal bread (which will be my HEX B) with lemon curd

    Drinks - Tea, coffee, water.

Sysn - Pretty low today. Around five in today for rice (a microwave pouch), lemon curd and yoghurt.
