I mistakenly deleted your diary........so have just had a quick skim through what I have missed.........have you been to a doctor - not liking them and hospitals or not, a self diagnosis after 3 years of not feeling 100% is a little bit  IMO - take it from someone who finally went to see doctor who put all the 'niggles' together and came up with the answer - me, I had my head in the sand and could put it down to work, weight, I'll reduce cheese/gluten/red meat etc, exercise in fact anything that wasn't some sort of illness/impairment/lifelong condition..........one simple blood test later and hey presto I have a life long cond which can only be treated with injections and I am fit to carry on with eating cheese etc......I still need to lose some weight though;)
Its the acid reflux thing....get it checked out cos it aint doing your stomach and oesophagus any good
Apologies if you have already .....like I said I have only skim read:)Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

my 'Kind Regards' got auto corrected to kind "retards" because I mis-typed the 'g' as a 'd'. Don't think client would have been too impressed.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: That made me LOL :T thanks haha! It reminded me of the emails I sent to the estate agent to cancel the sale on the house and after not hearing anything back I sent one to the manager instead of the bloke who was dealing with the house and got an email back saying something along the lines of "why the f*(k haven't you emailed them back yet". Obviously he didn't mean to send it to me but the absent minded bloke who never replied to me :rotfl: that technical mess up had me laughing too :rotfl:

Yes Mum!
Seriously though, thank you Igamogam I do need that proverbial kick up the back side to visit Dr - I have been building up to it this week and now have 4 days before I am out at work again, so the plan is to call tomorrow. I have been about the jaw pain/ neck/headaches and had physio etc but not in the last year. The acid reflux is recent (3-4 months:o relative terms!), in conjunction with the change in diet for weight loss mainly! Usually when I see my GP I tell him my self diagnosis and he confirms or otherwise
- am not a medic but "very in the field". But I Will make an appointment tomorrow after school run.

hi dont know if this might help but we are putting our son through uni and hubby made redundant now self employed i contacted student finance myself and explained massive drop in income and we have been assessed on current year (had to fill various forms in) so not assessed on previous year which means are son gets far more from them also make sure you dont on the forms keep your income private from uni as if there are any bursaries (free money) available to your daughter due to drop in income or just some unis offer this hope this helps but believe me when i say i know exactly how you feel xxx
Sharing you experiences and how you have coped really helps. Over and over I try to keep positive and you get good days and bad days. I am really good at being positive for others, just find it hard to practice what I preach for myself. AS you say need to build up my own confidence and believe that I can do it....
Have posted my SOA ( am starting to pick up the jargon!)
What I haven't added to that is that we will also need to start supporting my daughter at university as she has only been given the minimum maintenance loan due to previous years earnings, and it won't even pay her accommodation cost. Next month we will have about £700 extra expenditure (bus pass, £200 top up accommodation £200, laptop 250-300) until she gets to uni and sorts out a part time job.....
Oh and I went out today and jogged for 15 minutes..... new me on the way

Hi 3 puppies, thank you so much for you posts - I too had to ask how to quote in my newbie days - so am happy to pass on what I "learnt"....
you just have to click on the quote nutton under the post you want to quote, or to multiquote click on the speech bubbles
Also make sure you leave the square brackets intact - if you type over them by accident the quote doesn't appear as a highlighted box!
I had a brief conversation with student finance about current year income at the time but didn't have a full set of accounts ready at the time of application (it also wasn't a complete year at the time and I didn't know if any work was going to come in) - I should have checked again but haven't really had time. I am about to apply for next year's so will do it then - not sure if it is too late for current years awards. We have too much income for any grant, and just missed extra maintenance loan at the time.
Only problem is (not a problem really) is DD will be working in the summer and will have some income - which also has to be added in .....need to sit down and do all the sums. All the extra part time jobs are also adding up and I think we may be over the threshold again.
Not clear what you meant about not telling the university and keeping income private?
Hope your son is doing well and enjoying university (and working hard!) and hope that the self employment is going well for you. I have been really tight with giving money to DD, she has been very MSE too. I'll try and pop over and have a look at your diary soon

Hello Puzz and Igamogam
Called the Dr and had a telephone appt. Need to collect form for blood test - will pop to the hospital today.
Also booked appt in for the other erm...ladies test - also long overdue....maybe by 3years?
Please can I have a gold start on my chart today:p
I spend so much time helping parents and advocating/ensuring they get appropriate medical and other help, I always neglect my own.
However this week managed to get cancellation appts for dentist and hygienist for me and DS, (DD's booked for a couple of weeks time when she comes home) so they are done and dusted (was meant to have booked them last month for Easter hols):o
And lastly I also booked an appt at hairdresser (normally have to book weeks in advance!) and she also had a cancellation so I am going on Tuesday to spoil myself. Last time was in December normally I only go once every 9-12 months.
So lots of boring things out of the way and its only just after 10am
Just had letters for updates form HS*C so need to call SC (didn't manage that in earlier to do list).
Re BBQ you 'all have to come next time - what would I make - hot canaries? remember Sylvester and tweetie pie?:D

In the field or not - NEVER go to GP with your own diagnosis. You may well be right but he/she is there to FIND OUT not rely on patient knowledge - g00gled or instinctive. There are so many things that are co-morbid,mask/mimic symptoms etc let the NHS ( or otherwise) do the work. If you are not happy you can always go back or ask for a second opinion based on google/instints/g00gle etc.
:D;) Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi
