Thank you chevalier for taking the time on my SOA -

Some really useful pointers. Will have a look at the link you suggest tomorrow, didn't get time to trawl through the life insurance policies today - it will need to be at the weekend - will probably need a good 2-3 hours to check it all - I hate all that sort of stuff.... and pensions.... haven't got a clue where we are with that.

Ref business expenditure - it is included because we are a partnership (not ltd in any way) , there are just the two of us (hubby and me) so effectively we are liable for debts as individuals ..... so StepChange said to pool all expenditure.

Re: Uni bursary ......Not sure about this, when I looked at their website for infor it seems the bursaries are for low income families ie less than something like 25K, so at first glance it looked like we don't qualify as hubbies employment is 47 gross alone? I guess it is worth a call though ....

    Thanks again guys

  • Not having a productive day today :( Exhausted + headache.

Cheque arrived in post this am from another client £400 :) only three weeks late. One more outstanding payment of £1000 from end May to come. Have called 3-4 times, but I don't want to hassle - its a repeat client who has referred a lot of work to us, and he is going through a bad time - nasty divorce.

think I will focus on domestic things today and catch up with work tomorrow.

Tried looking at policies ....think that's what brought the headache on!!!!

Just found this quote in my diary:

"Choose silence of all virtues, for by it you hear other men's imperfections, and conceal your own."

But not in the case of debt, eh??

  • Hello XX

hope your head is better. I had a migraine at the start of the week, I seriously feel your pain.

The annoying thing about the debt is you can't do everything at once. you do have to wait and plan and wait some more.

its annoying. But tea helps and reading here helps too XXXX
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Business is business. If you allow people to they will take advantage. You should adopt a collection procedure and stick to it. Even if it means getting tough and making threats. As it's your livelihood.
