I'm so sorry I missed your Christmas wishes, I wasn't being rude honest. Merry Christmas to you too. Our decorations aren't going up until the weekend before, we are often the last house in the street to do them.

And Happy New Year to you too NOAh!
I hope your NY can start with your OH starting his new job. Great that your son can go on his trip but ouch to the cost.
You are sounding much more positive too.

Also - recycling :mad::mad: don't get me started. It is now so very simple as we put green waste (food/gardening etc) into one bin and everything else except for plastic bags and cellophane into another. So all glass, cardborad, plastic bottles, metal and plastic lids, paper and plastic food packaging goes into one bin.
Every week he still leaves bottles on the kitchen floor by the sink because he doesn't know where it goes. BUT he will put plastic bags in the bin, which are probably the only thing that can't go in there. So every week I have to sort it before it is collected........:mad:

SS1K - Thank you for that tip- will bear that in mind - I have seen tickets being sold but would not have occurred to me to sell vouchers! What sort of discount is acceptable? You have also just reminded me to look up airmiles or avios -we should have loads but haven't found the paperwork with account numbers from when they changed - will try and clear desk and office over Christmas hols.

They are absolutely no trouble at all and much less awkward than banks
I'm not going to suggest you'll love them but say 'sit' and they sit. (woof woof!)

Hey Brogden - Thanks - am happy to love them and send xxxs as long as they don't hassle me too much - its court action and ccjs that scare me. And the fact that people I know might be able to look up our financial circumstancesNo matter how many times I say to myself I don't care what anyone else thinks it still bothers me:o
Morning my lovely. Happy new hair cut day.:D Felt very nice (tosses head and flutters eyelashes:p)
Put some slices of cucumber on those eyes and relax for 10 minutes. It does wonders. Will try that tonight - might need some extra thick slices though - for extra power:p
Why not write to H5BC and any other predators instead of ringing. Tell them all correspondence must be in writing from now on. That way you have a paper trail of everything that was agreed. I never spoke to mine, only ever wrote, so when they broke an agreement I sent them a copy of their letter and asked them why. It seemed to work.
Think I need to start doing this - you have suggested it before - but it very much feels like the young lads at the other end do not really know what they are talking about. I wish they would use email.
Don't feel guilty about DS and trips, when they grow up they remember what they did not what they didn't x
Thanks Granny- it (the good advice from all) will all sink in eventually
Have a lovely day

Nobody can find out anything about your financial circumstances NOAh unless you have signed something to give a permission to check your credit file - like when one applies for credit.....not that one does any of that
My CCJ can be seen as that's public information!!! Yes, I used to get uptight about that but really......look at the terrible things that happen in this world and this bloke Brogden was late paying the water bill well........its tiny in the context of the universe and if its the worst thing I ever do I may still be allowed through the pearly gates.....? :rotfl:
Look at the literally millions of DMP's and how many people are summoned to court? Almost none. I see Nationwide mentioned a bit on the forums for CCJ's but I really do wonder if the CCJ route is only taken as a last resort where there are no payments and absolutely no contact for months (and years?) ie. a numpty burying their head in the sand completely.
NOAh.......I'm on about the same thing again.........you have much more ability to control all of this than you are allowing yourself to believe. You could permit yourself to be happier and more relaxed than you are...........:)

Hi Noah, I've only sold one £20 Booties voucher and it sold for almost £20. I've just had a look on ebugs are completed listings and a £50 M&s voucher sold for £45. A £20 voucher sold for £17.85 plus £1.72 postage. I'm not sure why people buy them that way, maybe to get the nectar points or something ?

Hi Noah...
I've previously sold vouchers on e*ay, starting at the 99p mark and they have always sold close to the retail price.. again no idea why as I can't see how its a bargain to the buyer. but hey ho...!!!
Your Husband sounds like my OH, he doesn't know how to work the dishwasher or washing machine. can burn a pizza and wouldn't know what was recycling or not so chucks everything in the bin... must be a 'type' of man thing...
Hope your getting into the festive spirit...!

Hey NOA
Hope you're permitting yourself to get excited for the big family Christmas!!DD will soon be home for aaaages. First term done! Glad DS is able to go on a trip. So expensive, I am genuinely starting a 'pot' for Jelly's school related savings as I will not be able to afford to pull uniform, trips, new shoes etc out of a hat each year! I figure £10 a month from the age of 2 and a half should cover most stuff by the time she hits 11... I can do primary school stuff! Lol
Thanks for your get well hugs, they obviously worked. I am feeling betterish todaylots of good news always perks me up

Hello Everyone -
Hope all OK with you all in MSE land - have been out of touch last few days. Just have a few minutes before I have to rush out again so thought would pop my head round the door and say hello
Thanks to everyone who has dropped by - will catch you all later!
Has been a very busy few days, thought quite with what I don't know:o
Caught up with my friend who lost his wife, he's trying to get back into work, but is slowly drowning in paperwork - probate- plus all bills/pensions/ insurances/ tax stuff to deal with - as well as be both mum and dad. Helped with DS's school fair on Friday - raised lost of money for charity - exhausting day. Then taxi DS to school rehearsals Saturday morning as well as 2 workshops in my fun job - one in the morning one in the afternoon on Saturday. E-X-H-A-U-S-T-E-D. So tired I slept through from 8.30 - 11.30 while I "watched " film with OH as DS away at last minute sleepover. So fast asleep did not hear DD call several times for a Skype! Sunday picked up DS, another workshop, shopping as no food in house - then washing and trying to get on top of general chaos in house. Falling out with DS over every little thing as he was so tired from the no sleep sleepover he was being Mr GrumpY with a capital G.
Working at school this am, now going off to do voluntary work.
Finances at risk of going out of control - money seems to be leaking out like a slow leak and you can't figure out where it is.... Haven't had time last few days to keep close tabs and because there has been money in the bank everyone thinks they can buy everything. Shouted at DS because have agreed to do a late birthday party (joint with another friend) to see The HObbit - normally we then come home and have food - but now somehow seem to have got caught up in a meal at Nandos because DS spoke to his friends mum before discussing joint party with me - then I felt awful about saying DS hadn't discussed with me prior to talking to his friend. So am cross with myself for not being strong enough to say no. It will now cost more than if he had had the same number of people by himself! Part of the reason was that they had the same idea and the same circle of friends (the other boy is a newcomer to the school) so didn't know DS has always had this same party too. It's all Totally Trivial stuff and I am worked up about it for no good reason and taking it out on DS, and that's making me feel even worse. Feel very unsettled and out of control. Hope no bugs lurking.
There - rambly rant over:o - and now I have to go out.

Hey flower - gutted getting caught up in all the drama of parties, days out etc for kids. I cut out a huge portion of my 'friends' when the main one linking me to the others got stroppy as I wouldn't break into my savings to spend £30-40 weekly on getting a train & a bus over to her house then going out to soft play/coffee etc every single week. You can't reason with people for whom money is not an object. I am sure it will get far worse when Jelly is keeping up with the joneses at school though. I can't cut her school friends out of her life can I? :rotfl:
Hope you are ok. Sounds like a mad week. Big hugs xx
