Not very good at taking pics I'm afraid :(
HoHum - paneer dish from yesterday, made a yummy filling for wraps! Sometimes have it with buttered chapattis and greek yogurt.
Paneer - boiled 4 pints 1 day over use by milk (unopened), then added white vinegar (didn't have lemon juice) tablespoon at a time until curds separated. Strained through muslin in colander. Rinsed with water to get rid of some of the vinegar. Pressed under pan of water2-3 hours. sliced into chunks stored in fridge. Shallow fried lightly in veggie oil (quicker to deep fry but I don't often do deep frying). can be frozen with or without frying.
Above, Fried onions in olive oil, + ginger, garlic, chilli, teasp. turmeric, teasp. masala mix, salt + chopped peppers ( can also use peas), then add paneer and heat through for 10-15 mins.

All "ish" - am not good at following recipes and tend not to measure/weigh things except when baking cakes!

    Have fun:)

Puzzcat - I lost a load of weight last year (about a stone) and have almost put it all back on - I'm about 10 6 now I think :D I would love to lose that stone again (without the stress that made it possible though :D).

Thank you everyone for popping in and sorry I haven't yet managed to catch up and reply to everyone's post.
Have been at work today, but had some awful news at lunch time. Have lost a close friend today to the dreaded Big C. It was inevitable but not expected today. In total shock, my heart goes out to the children, 12 and 16, they have grown up together with my two, and her DH who I worked closely with for many years when I was in full time employment. So sad. Why does it happen to the nicest people. :( Have known them for nearly half my life.:(
Hardly ever do this but am going to take some nytol tonight and hope can sleep.

Bam. Even when it's expected it's never expected.

Sorry for your loss. Very sad x

  • Oh NOA :(

I am so sorry for your loss hun. It doesn't matter who it is, it really hits hard especially when there are children involved.

I sincerely hope you get a decent, even medicated, nights sleep. Be gentle with yourself. x

  • Hi NOA,

So sorry for your bad news. It frightens me when I read people leaving young children behind. So traumatic for them all.

Hope you managed to get a decent nights sleep.

Makes us all realise how we need to make the most of every day, stop stressing the small stuff and hug our kids :)

    Hi Noah..

Hope you got some sleep last night. I can empathise as I lost one of my friends to the big C earlier this year leaving small children.

Keep hugging those babies as SS says.
