Now I have 3 money boxes, plus a little one each for DGC. Each of my boxes contain the following, one coppers, one 20ps and one 5 & 10ps. I have no idea how much is in them but will raid them before I go to Oz.
I feel like I need to start a tin too - I sort of have one in my car for loose change - mainly because have to pay for parking in town and have been caught short a few times!

    NOA

As well as the whiskey bottle,I have other collection boxes/tins - piggy bank (a sheep actually) for £2. Tend to use this to save for 'something'. A tin for 5ps and a money box for 20ps - empty these when they are full and usually bag up and pay off a CC bill over counter in bank. A road kill tin which is opened at the end of the year and I pool with DD2 and put it towards something for Christmas. A pot for dragon £1 and a money box for picture 50ps - not sure what I am going to do with these although I have a couple of 50ps which are rare and sell for silly money on Eb8Y:D Finally an old Gauti8r perfume 'tin' into which I tip all my loose change that is not for a pot, on a Sunday night - this one I dip into as and when needed.

Having now read all that I realise I am quite crackers:rotfl: But its a little game I play to keep myself amused and the wolf from the door!

No time to catch up with diaries tonight so will have to leave that for weekend :(
Work was good today - mentally tiring has just need to concentrate all day - but actually really good pay rate for very easy job in nice working environment. Seems like there may be lots of potential - need to keep eyes and ears open. Recognised young lad from DD's college and asked him if he knew my DD - turns out him and another of that group of friends went to see DD at uni last weekend whilst I was out gallivanting around the country! He is on gap year and filling time. In fact he told my DD she ought to get a job there (she might actually listen to a peer rather than a parent!):) Called DD to tell her but he had already texted her saying he had met me and that I was gonna be his best pal - winding DD up wicked boy!

Off to have a long soak as back does not take kindly to sitting for long periods :(
Hope everyone well -loving you and leaving you with a solemn promise to reply/catch up over weekend

Hi Igamogam:rotfl:That is a lot of tins!!!! Thinking of tins, it reminded me of the very first piggy bank I made at school - does anyone remember making a piggy with papermashe over a balloon then cutting a slot in the top? :) I haven't recalled that particular memory in what .....21+ years;)

  • Happy weekend you.

Back from my trip. I have spilled almost £600 in expenses unmentionable. Nothing horrendous, but meals out, clothes for me and Jellytot & various other bits. I doubt I can make it back anytime in the next couple of months but I am doing my best.

Lovely seeing DH is being ok. And keep on sharing your problems here if it keeps the peace at home. I fell asleep to Night in the Museum too ;) xx

OH has had back problems - osteopath then chiropractor and pilatese seem to have sorted him out. He is a very fit and active person who hates his indoor desk job ( needs must! He tends to be a person who does a lot of research on anything and the best thing he has found is he now stands for most of the day at his desk bound job - he had an electronic desk fitted so he can sit if he wants ( desk adjusts to a height he wants) and he has lost about a stone in weight through no effort at all!
