Hi I'm subscribing too and have read through your diary. I sort if empathise with you in regards to sorting the financial stuff out alone, my OH is fantastic and trusts mr to sort everything our and sometimes that's the problem, I take 100% responsibility and put pressure in myself that us stresses me out so much. I think breaking the overall debt down to % is great and I might do that too. I'm sick of having debts around my neck and constantly thinking about them, these forums are great for just getting things off your chest - good luck , I will be watching avidlyFocusing on clearing the credit cards in 2018 :T0

Well done on the battle with the energy supplier! I put in my meter reading today (hadn't done it since May, eek,) and it totally wiped out my £350+ balance - not good!£1589.94 cc - DFD 31/12/22; £156,737.24 mortgage free target date 1/10/2026; £158,327.18 Total; Starting debt Jan 2019 £393,068; 60% cleared.0

I agree with Pinot and Granny
Most of mine will send a letter / phone every six months and often want to do a new income and expenditure statement. I found as the debts were passed to DCA's that a 24 hour discussion on the 'ins and outs' of the family household was not required and in answer to the question 'have your circumstances changed,' I would say 'no...can I have my lunch now?' That's it.
If there isn't an agreed payment plan in place (even only £1) they are a complete pain in the b*m. Make sure there is an accepted agreement with everybody and peace will mostly prevail
Big congrats on paying 1% :T I wish I was going to do as well as that this month

Its very clear from all the comment that I do not write to them! at the moment I have 2 months left on my breather from my bank but in their letter they had said at this point we have not accepted the payments...but I have paid them tokens anyway, see what happened in December..........

Might seem trivial to many but all us on here having gone through the same know how satisfying it is :T. I agree about laying low. I never ever called my creditors unless I had letters from them!
Xmas at my nan's house used to be a nightmare. 15-20 adults (depending on who turned up) and over 20 kids. She has a normal sized mid terraced house in London so space was not huge, I am pleased to say I usually only have my little family! I don't think I could cope with a big crowd, I have enough trouble cooking for just 5 :rotfl:
Have a lovely day

Started off as a nice day as met up with a couple of friends for a coffee and natter for the first time in an age, but then dropped my handbag - fell off seat as I took my coat off) and my phone fell out and is now broken - still texts but glass jagged:(
was not expecting to sort that out this weekend....
good thing is that contract just finished last month so can change ...only paid 11 a month as not a phone person, but deals look more expensive now.....Feb2014 Total unsecured debt £72,520>>01/06/16 £68166>01/02/17 £66,600=8.18%PAID

Happy Weekend Everyone!!
Will be a busy domestic one for me...
couple of hours volunteer work tomorrow, then take DS to his music extracurricular workshop (£35 unplanned cost) but it should be good experience for him -
lots of washing to do, plus filing and plan to sort out a room (Christmas nearly here - need every room available for extra blow up mattresses as everyone sleeps over for a few days!! (2 of my 3 doubles have leaks as kids love there "bouncy castle pillows fights" - note to self need to get those fixed or replaced in next couple of months...)
should start thinking about VAT return.....
Sunday a.m. working a session of my fun part time job = £33 earned which more or less covers DS music workshop. Sunday pm weather permitting garden needs sorting - back much improved over last 3-4 days so might be able to prune back bushes etc.
Oh, and at some point sort out new phone.
Haven't had to cook at all this week due to massive cook last weekend, but now have nothing left. Maybe will put something on slow cooker....
Can't think that far ahead.
So am going for an early night. Nite Nite and sweet dreams (need one of Grannyx2's cutie pics here!)
Am missing my DD desperately tonight.

Just popping by to say hi and subscribe. You are doing brilliantly. Sorry you are missing DD, that will be me in 3 years time and I can't bear to think about it. It's great though that she is getting a degree, but I'm sure you really miss her.
Sending hugs
