Hey NOA
I am loving the TEAM quote. You are right, this forum is a giant example of team powered effort. The 'insignificant little steps' that each individual makes add up to a gigantic push towards debt freedom and a happier life in general.
I was reading the first post of the PAD - Payment a day thread and what struck me was that the post referred back to a previous thread, which had gotten so big they needed to start a new one. The amount paid off on the old thread entirely, equalled more than £85,000.00. A collective effort sure yields gigantic results!
Everyone here is right behind you, willing you to a debt free future, and you sit there smiling, because things are getting better day by day. Plans form, control is taken, and you can see a tiny light at the end of what was a dark tunnel.
Well done you!!

Thank you Lilt! Been a bit busy today so haven't managed to redo my long post I lost yesterday.
Will be out at DS's school concert tonight so may not get back to this. So quick update.....
Friday and Saturday have 2 bookings for my fun job =£66 plus mileagewhich will make a total of £99+ extra so far this month
Another few hours school bank job request just came through for next week doingReally easy work:)
DD just skyped and is filling in application for student ambassador job (unlikely to get this year as very competitive but pays really well like 70+ gold coins per day!):) says if she doesn't get it will apply for another job.
I contacted the Exam board I just got accepted at and queried if they are recruiting yet for next summer and they said for DD to send in CV and they will consider
Ds has decided doesn't want to do anything on Saturday - wants a home TV day with lots of food and has made a list...
Doritos, dips popcorn sweets nachos pizza crisps chocolate fizzy drinks and piggies in blankets.... and a Lord of the Rings Marathon (=12 hrs. of film as we have extended versions) and he wants to chill out with DD .....something tells me he has missed her desperately:)

I like this quote by Graham Greene
"There is always one moment in childhood when the door opens and lets the future in".
You could actually replace the word childhood with word "life" , and it could actually be different momentS at different times of life.Feb2014 Total unsecured debt £72,520>>01/06/16 £68166>01/02/17 £66,600=8.18%PAID

NoOneAround wrote: »Hazeldreams, thank you too for following and I'm so sorry its taken a few days to reply to this properly, problem with this forum is I jump around and there is so much to take in I sometimes start something and then get distracted
Both my two would have done equally well at a state school, and my nieces and nephews are doing brilliantly as are many of my friends' children - it's just the circumstances and the bullying my daughter went through that we ended up on this road - nad then having done one thing for one child I cannot bring myself to not do the same for the other! especially as I think boys are probably more easily distracted
There is absolutely no need to feel guilty! Such easy words to say but I know how difficult it is to do!! It took me a very long time before I started cancelling kids activities too. But if it works for you, then that is what you have to do. We always found a way to survive and get through and an opportunity of some sort always turns up when you think you have reached the end and there is nowhere to turn.......

For me for the last 3-4 years the new door was a new CC
Now it is determination to not wait for the doors to open but find them and push them open!!:)

Hi NOA
Don't worry over posts. I know the thought and sentimentsand I appreciate it!
I love your quotes too.
My personal favourite at the moment is 'Mighty Oaks from little Acorns grow' along with (for Jellytot) 'and though she be but little, she is fierce' from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Nights Dream.
How lovely that DS is missing DD. I know you remember a million and one times of them fighting, hair pulling, tattle-taling etc. So it must be lovely for them to reach this stage of companionable siblingship
