Time flies, so do the little fledglings.Nest has been empty for three weeks- I'm so glad I took on the job - long and busy days at work, (doing my job and covering sick leave for extra pay for extending my working day). so, as a result i'm too tired by the time I get home to have time to miss DD and DS. Both settled in well into their respective new lives I think, Looking forward to next weekend when they are both coming home for the weekend
Money matters are on a back burner - the consistent income means I don't have to be on the ball so much. We also had a fab holiday at end of August but then came back and straight into work. Lots going on, and too tires to write a saga, some grit your teeth stuff, at work and at home. Not really having time to socialise much, in RL or VL as last two weekends spent at mum's, she has been poorly, but on the mend now.
Hope all well, have had no time to keep up with diaries
wishing everyone a happy autumn
xx

Hi :hello:
How are your little fledglings? My DD1 is settling better than I (and she) thought she would. Early days but fingers crossed.
Glad work is keeping you occupied nicely and paying the bills..

Well....... it has been some time since I've logged on and it took a few attempts. Everything looks very different, with the site and with the World. All seems very surreal. Extraordinary times, as i'm sure has been said many times before. I've yet to read /catch up but will try to as and when. Supposed to be working from home now, for the next 12 weeks.
I thought I'd have loads to write, but actually I really don't know where to start. Most of all, I guess, I just want to say that I hope that all is well with you all, and that you stay safe. It's an anxious time, just taking it one day at a time, as are we all. Mum is alone and haven't seen her in 3 weeks, need to wait another two before safe to, if allowed. Would really like to have her with me. Haven't seen my daughter for two months, son just got back home as university closed last weekend, self isolating.
Stay Safe

Thanks for the prompt Verbatim - just shows what my mind is mostly on! might try a few bullet points rather than a long rambling post........
1) DH and I both OK, ships that pass in the night I think is the saying, both just busy at work. It works. Not sure how 12 weeks at home will pan out though!
2) Still in my term time job at school. I try and keep it in perspective, not always easy. Long day and keeps me busy although still frustrating. There was a period just before Christmas where I really hated it, but have tried to train my brain to just do the job - it's easy and not exactly taxing or pressured for me. Frustration is mainly that line manager is very insecure, so instead of delegating always wants to do things "together" or be the one to send out communications (after I've done the hard bits!), so it made me resentful. I could have applied for a different internal job - much more pressure with deadlines etc, but only £1400 more so I decided to keep things simple and not add more stress.
3) House and garden have both been neglected, but current situation of 12 weeks at home (high risk category health condition) hopefully will help resolve that. Been out in the garden today, and wild and untidy it may be but it's beautiful and I find peace in it. First cut of the grass yesterday!
4) Money situation over past few months has been easier, we've even paid a bit of the interest only part of the mortgage. I haven't kept on top of my spreadsheets but should have time to reorganise and declutter - only there is nowhere to take stuff to
Will carry on later...

Good to see your updates. Is your son still doing a lot of uni work from home? Get him helping out in the garden 😉 I am already struggling with being cooped up. Not helped by being a family of six with no office for dh to work from and tiny garden. Will see what the end of isolation brings.....Debt free Feb 2021 🎉3
