    Thank you Cherry :)

I feel like I'm making inroads into my big SortOut, very slowly, but inching forwards.
Last couple of days on paper sorting - 3 carrier bags shredded and out of the house - mainly sorting through receipts, statements and letters. Many unopened over last 3 months (when you know they are just statements :o)
Dining table looks a bit worse for wear though as I seem to have spread out over any available surface :o
Also 3 carrier bags of clothes ready by the door for when I venture into town.

Washing out drying, also started walking 15 mins with aim to build up. I'll have more time for me from September so need to work on fitness and strength exercises. A few more symptoms of progression of chronic condition manifesting so am more than a bit worried.
But its a beautiful day outside so I am going to try a bit of gardening/lopping to sooth the soul, before I get onto getting new quotes for car insurance which is imminent.

    Have a lovely day :)

Sending you hugs for the chronic condition. :grouphug: It's horrible to have health worries and hard to enjoy the present moment when there's something hanging over you. I hope things ease up.

Meanwhile that's an impressive amount of shredding. I have some for you while you're in the mood... ditto to gardening. Keep us posted on how everything goes.

Just send it my way - am both master shredder and master lopper in this householdr:rotfl:

Today has been a go slow day...effects of not pacing myself yesterday :( Have managed to speak to gp though to and got some blood tests organised perhaps for Friday.
2 loads washed and out drying, a little paperwork and essential emails done, but neck pain and foggy head making it hard to concentrate on anything.
Tomorrow is DD MA graduation, but she doesn't really want to go - I made her :( then DS is back from tropical holiday on Friday so it wont be quite so quiet.
Rambling now so will go and potter outside.

Chronic conditions suck......especially when others dont understand. I have just had a protracted 'discussion' with the Twit at the Top - new in Nov and thought they could just breeze in with a top down leadership style and sweep aside everything already in place - regarding "reasonable adjustments" Long story short what was in place has now been reinstated but not after getting unions and OccHealth involved. Quoting the Equality Act clinched it in the end......I was willing to go the whole hog and take it to tribunal. when they realised I was not giving in they backed down :)

I went back to regular exercise at the beginning of the year and slowly built up - water based exercise then yoga then strengthening and stamina work - slow but sure and it has made all the difference. feeling much stronger physically and mentally. Good luck with the walking - pace yourself is the key and dont be disheartened if sometimes it feels like 2 steps forward and one back at first!

Congrats to your DD, NOA - an MA is quite an achievement!

Igamogam, well done for sticking to your guns. I'm glad you got justice.

Brizzle - Thank you :) I was looking at dates and it's nearly 5 years since I joined this site. Lots of ups and downs along the way, but I really do feel everything will be OK. Still a lot of gaps in the puzzle to fill, but it's taking shape.... '

Igamogam I'm so glad you got that sorted (again). Why does it take so much effort all time? It truly is exasperating. Perhaps they really do think that the invisible illness is "all in our heads". I haven't really had time to do any organised classes but am thinking from September I might find some and invest a little time in me. I started many times over the last few years, however time always runs out and other things eat away at any spare time. Hopefully the empty nest will spur me on to maintain it.....watch this space:)

Cherry Thank you again - we had a lovely day in the end and the three of us had a nice pub meal to celebrate afterwards - we didn't stick around too long after the ceremony as she doesn't know anyone there anymore - (she finished her dissertation last September) - it seems a long time after the event to actually graduate "officially" (certificates were posted out months ago!). She wasn't bothered about going, I made her (for me!) but she enjoyed it once we were there :)

    MSE stuff
Shopped around and reduce 2 x car insurance from £1380 to £1040, so not bad :), also scrapped old car for £160 - probabaly could have got more privately but couldn't be bothered to be honest:o - at least its done and dusted !

Thank you all - visible and invisible - for always being there with support and encouragement....plodding on some rain or shine....

Hello NOA, I am one of your invisible followers cheering you on from the sidelines.

Well done to both your children – you have every right to be a proud mum.

You always seem to be very busy and juggle so many plates and I can see how difficult having a chronic condition is and how it prevents you from getting on with your life. I hope you find walking helps. I walk everyday and at first I found it a struggle to fit in but as time has gone on it has become part of my routine and I now see it as having some time to myself. I miss it if I don’t go.

Good luck with the walking and I hope it helps.

Good bit of MSE-ing there on the car insurance and scrap value. :)

That's a really long time to wait to graduate! I think it's good that you got her to go, though. She might have regretted it otherwise, it's such a special moment.
