Hello NOA, I am one of your invisible followers cheering you on from the sidelines.

Well done to both your children – you have every right to be a proud mum.

You always seem to be very busy and juggle so many plates and I can see how difficult having a chronic condition is and how it prevents you from getting on with your life. I hope you find walking helps. I walk everyday and at first I found it a struggle to fit in but as time has gone on it has become part of my routine and I now see it as having some time to myself. I miss it if I don’t go.

Good luck with the walking and I hope it helps.

Hello Elnora, Thank you for de-cloaking and making yourself know, and thank you for your lovely comments:). I am trying to persist at it but not daily (although I know I should:( but some days it has been too hot and i've been too drained. I do need to get to the point where I would miss it if I didn't too!

Good bit of MSE-ing there on the car insurance and scrap value. :)

That's a really long time to wait to graduate! I think it's good that you got her to go, though. She might have regretted it otherwise, it's such a special moment.

Thanks Cherry :) Yes it was....They used to have a ceremony in November for the 1 year (that is 12 months, not academic year) Masters which to me makes more sense, but they stopped it and only do the summer ceremonies now :(
Lovely to hear from you NOA and that you had a lovely day with DD x

Thanks Brizzle, where have all the years gone....?

Am managing to have a good day every other day....

Decluttering - have made a start on my utility room boxes...
Lots of stuff ready to go out to charity shop/recycling
    :)6 bags clothes/textiles
:) 1large bag of metal and hard plastic boxes/lids/tins
:)2 large bags of "stuff" (unwanted kiddie pressies or stuff from/for party bags, collected over the years and stored somewhere safe:o, reusable plastic picnic ware, no longer used as kids are adults! and errr hmmm 9 water bottles of various description, some only used once...or never:eek:
:)1 pair wellies and 3 pairs of shoes/trainers to go to shoe bank
:)3 bags of paper (mostly kids old school workbooks from primary school - flicked through quickly and kept the odd page that made me laugh)

Also paid my tax bill. VAT return due this week
2loads of washing done and dried outside, ironed and actually put away, so feeling very virtuous:rotfl:
Spent 30 mins pruning/lopping shrubs this evening (2 wheel barrows full:))
    Paperwork to do for mum.

Off to bed now, as aching all over and feet throbbing.

    Hello :)
Ended up not getting very much done yesterday as went out for lunch with friend, but did get car rental sorted for family holiday - and have one to cancel too as I think it was a scam company - money hasn't been taken yet and I can't get hold of them....:eek:phoned cc but they can only put a hold on the whole card apparently not just the one payment?

Have a medical appt today and plan to do the CS and recycling run at the same time, it's all in the car ready to go.

The decluttering effort has got me motivated but body can't keep up with mind:mad::( and I need to get it sorted before i lose my ruthless streak (which is often missing!).

For some reason I am really anxious/agitated at the moment. I haven't seen my mum in three weeks, planning to visit at weekend, I want to bring her to stay and she's keen but then I won't get anything done. I know I shouldn't worry but can't help it. so many silly things like when it's just me at home I eat very simply and when I want, but always feel i need to make more effort to make regular meals when she is here, even though she does not eat much (and i end up eating more). Feel like I'm rambling now so will go and do something active...:rotfl:

    Have a lovely day

    Goodness you have been busy!

Boo to the scam deal...did you stop your CC? OH had lots of problems with a scam on his bank account...took almost 6 months to sort out! One thing that kept happening was a DD for Nexfl!x....which we dont have...bank really dragged their feet over it. OH blew a gasket when the well meaning but clueless CS person on the end of the phone said "are you sure you dont have netxxx?"

We are looking at car rentals for holiday too....but think we will do it when we get there then we are not tied.

I know what you mean about the whole eating what you want when you want but then you feel obliged to eat well and lots and often when visitors are around....had my dad stay for a week who is a bit of a foodie...almost killed me! By then end of the week I was craving a cheese and pickle sandwich and a cup of tea:rotfl:

Have a lovely time on your hols when it comes and dont do too much in the meantime!

Thank you Igamogam, going at the end of August - with family /mum and siblings and their families - doing it for mum - first time when all her grandchildren will be together on holiday, its been quite stressful organising it! haven't managed to make contact but couldnt stop cc because I need to use it to book other things. Will carry on trying to make contact to cancel - I think payment is due to go out mid August, and they haven't tried to submit yet......Problem is that it is the only CC I have and will need it on holiday.

A big boot load of stuff has left my house:T:T
Have found that I have an amazing homeless charity place right on my doorstep that takes pretty much everything!!!!! I took it along there to ask them if any of it was any use to them and they kept it all so I didnt have to go to the recycling centre - even rag textiles as they have someone come and collect it for cash for the charity - so I am thrilled as I could pass by them every time I go the supermarket! Which means I don't have to store bags of sorted stuff until it is worth making a 20 mile round trip to main recycling centre, or have to worry about carry bag - loads to CS in town.
    Watch this space......

VAT still to do.....urgent for next for few days.
Hol insurance to sort out for DH and DS, DD and I are sorted.

Will carry on sorting /decluttering tomorrow,
Did another 30min tonight and I can see floor space and some work top space in the utility room! I should have taken before and after pics, second thoughts no, glad I didn't!

Might even be able to repaint the walls if all the stuff goes!
getting way ahead of myself now, so will say goodnight...

Excellent news on finding a good cause so locally! I feel much better about decluttering if I know things are going to be used.

    :)
I've carried on sorting 2-3 hours today with lots of breaks in between
Archive box full of paper (mag cutouts, recipes, old work documents, appraisals, various manuals of equipment we no longer have :( etc) ready to go recycling (wheelie bin is full and won't be collected until next week, so I will take to my new local.... ). Another large bag of vessels of various sorts (storage jars, tuppaware, biscuit tins, kiddie pastry cutters and ice lolly moulds (this was all stuff I meant to sell and just never ever got round to....) and now it would feel like too much effort. All ready to go to somewhere it might get used or sold!
Also found three broken watches and a clock - it may be they could get them mended? will offer them and see.... If I had someone who could have helped me it would have been good to do a bootsale.....Never mind - I think the clear head and satisfaction of getting it all out of the way quickly will be worth it.
Neglected paperwork as was so busy with above - so still need to do my VAT over the weekend - have arranged to go see mum during the week instead.

What a boring post - have a I really written a whole and very long paragraph on clutter?:o Apologies :o

Have a lovely weekend everyone :)

I have another boot load of stuff to take to my local tomorrow :)
Have continued to sort over the weekend - very antisocial - and very satisfying ;)

Will spend a few days with mum during the week as everyone else will be at work. DS quite shocked as I hadn't told him my plans and he hadn't realised I wasn't going to be here......I've told everyone I'm doing my own thing now - they were a bit taken aback:D
I also didn't go shopping (as I'm not going to be here....) and there was no food in the fridge. 3pm Sunday they were making a shopping list and meal planning for the next 4 days. :rotfl:
    Should go away more often.

    Admin to do now....
    Have a good week.
