Hope you've having a restful holiday NOA and car problems are resolved too.
Empty nest syndrome is a weird one..think its hitting me too. That plus a massive push on debt repayments and a grey week weather wise is definitely putting me into 'flat' mode..!
Think I need to up the vitamins and exercise0 -
Thanks for popping by Igamogam, Cherry and Brizzle.
I has been a hectic month. All spare time filled with car searching etc - not easy to do as get home late from work exhausted. Spent two full weekends searching garages and car supermarkets in an ever widening radius from home, to no available, totally fed up last weekend, but on easter hols this week and have finally found one - picking up tomorrow!
We have only managed as DD still home and has her little old banger, so she has been acting as the taxi service for me and DS!
Anyway. Bank accounts all depleted - we have had to use money put away for mortgage, but hopefully will be able to replace that over the next year.
Have a major update to do, but everything has been getting on top of me, house a mess and I have been trying to get back in control a little. Slow progress, but have consistent income is a bonus even if everything else has had to take a back burner. Trouble now is that the SE has suddenly picked up again........ we'll carry on doing what we can, as all money will need to be thrown at mortgage as soon as last payment to school is made in August!
A quick update, not proof read. will try and make a more leisurely post next week - hop all well with everyone
Missing connecting here, as also son't have time for RL friends either.

Good to hear from you, NOA, and super news about a new car!
Life sounds madly busy but I hope that once you have the car you will find it easier.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

So busy but what a relief about the car and being able to pay for it. I agree, having moved from SE to a consistent monthly income is a relief in many ways.
Pop in when you can. We love to 'see' you..but don't overdo it. We'll be waiting0 -
Thanks for popping by Cherry and Brizzle - some few weeks ago now
Car going well, always a worry when getting 2nd hand, but its lovely to have a newer model - 6 years old but immaculate and below average mileage so it was worth keeping looking. All paid for but we now have mortgage repayment money to replace over the next year.
So much to update I don't know where to start.
Had a small windfall - DH got lump some from very old pension
that he managed to chase up and get update on - also a small payment coming in - he turned 60 earlier this year. Totally unexpected so we have paid it towards the mortgage (allowed to over pay 10% whilst in fixed rate) the rest paid for the shortfall in car purchase (this is what we have to save up to replace now):T
Consistent income from term term job is lovely, but it's been all work and no play as SE very busy at the moment so there has been no time for anything. Garden is wild green and tropically lush, you have to wade through with a scythe:rotfl:, house looks like a tornado blew through. Just spent last couple of days tidying away paper, clothes and shoes, as it is half term. Work often frustrating but I knew it would be - I try to let it all wash over me, but some days I just can't:o:
DD in very very last stages of job app - fingers crossed.
DS is in middle of A levels.
Mum is doing OK, will be going to seeing her towards end of week.
Health is OK ish, have some surgery in July after term ends. Always exhausted as work is full time 24/7 hence state of house.
Only 3 more school fee payments - there is light at the end of the tunnel! Student (minimum loan) in place for DS, he has some part time temping work sorted out for after exams. He also has a big trip planned with friends so needs to earn money over the summer.
I need to update my signature but haven't kept my spreadsheet updated so need to find time to do that before I update current status.
Cooking is in fits and starts and have been very lazy, not the bets for budget or for weight loss but something had to give when I took on the term time job.
I'm sure none of that makes any sense, but I have just downloaded as thoughts came into mind in their random and chaotic way!
Tick. Update done :rotfl:
Love to all

Hello Verbatim
Sorry that wasn't written very well... we have been paying the years fees in 12 x monthly installments, rather than whole term at beginning of each term....so June July August payments left to go....Feb2014 Total unsecured debt £72,520>>01/06/16 £68166>01/02/17 £66,600=8.18%PAID
