Thank you Verbatim (can't locate any threads by you V?)and Puzz!!
am not going to hang out here tonight in between chores, but will swot up on competency based interviews instead....
very different to when I got my early career jobs, one of the interviews for a job I was headhunted for was in a pub;)

I'm in!!!!! :dance::dance::dance:
Accepted onto bank of markers - reasonable rate of pay 9.43/hr it's easy work - just needs concentration!
First 4 day contract for "easing in" end of October!
Mean I have to pull out of a few hours work at school though - better to do a full day marking than 3hrs at school, have to look after number 1....
Got 100% in one test and 9/10 in another - kicking myself as picked out the less obvious ambiguity/mistake rather than the obvious one in one question
A step closer to getting current references, for bigger better jobsand there is no commitment - you only take on contracts if you want them - they know I have another bank staff job.
Thanks to everyone's for all the good wishes - they worked !!!:grouphug:

I'm a great believer in signs!!
also got an email yesterday from school to provide possible temporary cover for two weeks next month for a member of staff doing jury service. I have said yes, however it could end up being just 1 day if they are not selected. Have said yes and need to commit to the two weeks knowing that it may not happen... it's an essential function at school, but I want to keep in their good books too, as perfect job for me for next three years would be term time only
May mean I lose out on marking but if I say no to school may not get any marking anyway? Tricky but am just going to have to juggle it best I can. Am also going to keep applying and also register for other temporary work with other agencies - that way will keep everything flexible until we sort ourselves out ...
They also take on a lot of students in the summer to help with marking - possibly DD may able to get summer job there !! £9+ not bad for a student summer job.
Feeling happy today:):)
Eye test this pm then school run , then promised DS would help him with his Homework - a bit of extracurricular learning - how to draw a 3D perspective of a building. He doesn't need to do it properly but he's keen so why not take full advantage.Just need to find my garden design notes from course I did about 8 years ago!

Thanks Puzz and Brizzle!!!!
and to round off a nice day nicely have just opened today's mail to find a PPI claim cheque for £31
:j:rotfl::T which I posted on the very last possible day and paid £10 guaranteed next day (Saturday) delivery (felt a bit stupid doing it at the time cos I had no idea which card it was -had been sent forms by CPP months ago but never acted until I saw the template responses on this site!!!! So as a result am £21 better off today just by following MSE advice:D:D grinning all the way to the bank!:D
Another sign perhaps Briz?
Have an early start tomorrow as working at school tomorrow so am going to have a soak to try and ease up back - should see osteo as it never usually lasts this long - must have done it in good n' proper packing DD off to uni!
Good Night everyone and thanks you for all you support:T
