Flugelhorn wrote: »Oh yes funding in first week can be a pain because for some reason they don't release the student finance until all the Uni paperwork is done and the student is properly signed up and matriculated - should come fairly quickly after that though . DS's appeared in his account at the end of fresher's week ..
Thanks Flugelhorn,
That's good to know, so hopefully it will be through maybe tomorrow... I guess because they were asked to do so much before hand in terms of competing paperwork/sending photos etc, I naively expected it two process within a day or two. But as a parent I keep forgetting there's probably 20000 other students who are also the centre of their families universe;), and that's just at our uni....
Hope you kid(s) are doing great:) x

Fingers-crossed on the funding. I remember the days eagerly anticipating that 'pay day' back in the day!
Also sounds like a great idea getting rid of the old freezer, maybe take a look at different ways of storing batch cooking to get the most out of your space? I had been using cartons but now I'm in with the good old freezer bags for most stuff so I can squish it in. As long as they have a proper seal on them then no worries about leaking!0 -
So lovely out in the garden again, I love the colours in autumn, possibly my favourite time of year
trying to get quote together for enquiry yesterday, will be good to have that project before Christmas.....
Thanks Belle,
I should use bags a lot more (just messier than boxes...so have avoid using them! but you are right they do let you stack a lot more in...)

It has been lovely out could help but snap away - thank goodness for digital cameras eh!:D
I love it at dusk when everything "glows" with an orangey tinge, it's really uplifting ...spreadsheets and budgeting don't have the same effect;)

I am really good at taking charge:rotfl:yes...the appeals....it really has become a bit of a joke along with the requests for "special consideration"

Thank you Brizzle, just worried about my dad really, he's been very down.
DD sounds so happy - I am really pleased for her, it has been a miserable year for her and she was so worried about leaving home - I think the new found freedom of being on campus and able to join in with everything without having to book mum as taxi is really good - she is already "counselling" other friends who are finding it hard to adjustFeb2014 Total unsecured debt £72,520>>01/06/16 £68166>01/02/17 £66,600=8.18%PAID
