When I was on a concerted 'I will lose weight' phase - i.e paying to be weighed and going through the public humiliation of a patronising group chat with people who, shall we say, 'watch their weight' I used charity shops to get basics for in between sizes. I am on a determined 'I will lose weight' regime again as now I have what was becoming a debilitating health issues under MY control and not the NHS's, I can focus a bit more :D This week I have dropped 4lbs and still 2 days to go before my own private weigh in ( I cheated this morning just to give myself a boost over weekend and not lapse into old ways!) Watch strap is definitely feeling looser. This time I have clothes in waiting because I was determined not to spend any money on accommodating a growing waistline and "shamed " myself into getting back on track:D Those long tunic style tops have hidden a multitude of sins for too long and it would appear to be a style that is not so prevalent this year...........not that I am a follower of fashion!

    Have a good weekend NOA

A day at home today, A little bit of SE work, quite a bit of tidying in office, cleared a carrier bag full of paper to recycling, shredded another bag of paper, very therapeutic. No domestic stuff done today. No further forwards on tax returns/accounts but needing to clear space in office/head before I can do that effectively.

DD gone back to uni so house was so very quiet, lonely today. Grey wet day didn't help mood but resisted snacking so pleased with myself for that.
Made drs apt for mum after several lengthy attempts on phone, sounds like she's started getting migraines. Will need to pop and see her this week, it has been two weeks since I have seen her (she has been with sisters) so I do need to check up on her. Lots of reflection and thinking about things. Lost my long post earlier today and don't have the inclination to do it all again.

Getting used to DD leaving now Brizzle it's was nice having her home for the last month. She's a good friend. Its weird how much on the same wavelength we are, the number of times we end up saying the same thing at exactly the same time ......is positively scary!

Very familiar with The long tunic T-shirts Igamogam -also not a dedicated follower of fashion but tops are definitely shorter - Good incentive to try be rid of the rolls;)
Four lb in a week is really good - :T

Thanks Bob, she seems to be doing well, working hard and enjoying life, and all within her means. When I stop and think, I am very proud of the way she has taken control, makes decisions, and has become an independent young lady.

Today has been slow, though there was some sunshine this morning. Did a grocery shop. Dinner for today and tomorrow is cooking away, I have done a little bit of admin, and essential emails. Exercise - 3 minute stints on x trainer as and when I feel like it, which also means climbing the stairs (therefore extra steps;))

some procrastinating too, but am not pushing myself these days, so am  with some unproductive time, often a good cry clears my head. Looking forward to spring to lift mood but it will also be hard. work just seems so unimportant at the moment.
DS has been getting results from mocks this week, doing really well. I almost feel redundant now, other than being a vehicle to provide finance. Feel like doing something big, that makes a difference to something.

Need to finish cooking, its almost pickup time.
    xx

Bless you NOA I can't imagine how your family would cope without you, so no talk of being redundant please!

This is a hard time of year, let alone after a bereavement. I'm glad you are taking it slow. What thoughts have you got on a big thing though out of interest?

Glad DD makes you proud :)

I don't know Bob, raise a million pounds for a charity? No Idea really - Something that means something, actually makes a difference to lives, something worth while. the thought keeps coming back into my head time and time again.

My volunteering work/the time I devote to it I have raised over 10K in three years. and in the grand scheme of things it's not even that big a cause it is for.
