Dropped off mail and sent of passport for renewal.:)
Dropped off shoes in recycling bin too :)
Enchiladas for dinner with raw carrot cucumber and pepper - also only had one instead of the normal 2 and stopped myself from going back for the second! And refused a lindt truffle:(
And started on some of the exercises - need to build up again slowly.
Did a bit of ironing too. Working on the basis of doing 10-15 mins of whatever task needs doing, this helps with pacing.
Haven't drunk enough water though but you can't win them all:D

Back to normal school run/work routine tomorrow morning, not really looking forward to that.

Sounds like you are being very productive NOA! Need to work on my portion control some more, doing well at saying no to sweets but the large dinners may not be helping me.

Popping in to keep myself on the straight and narrow :)
I find that it is hard to manage portion control in winter jvr -
when I'm cold I eat:( Gave in to pudding today at lunch time :(

Back into a bit of routine now but really glad its the weekend. 2 days at work and the hangover cough from Cold from before Christmas still there - and deteriorated again, so not feeling great.
A lot of admin to catch up with this weekend, to help mum. A full week at work next week too, so haven't had much more time on the tax returns, but feel I'm probably half way there.

    Have a good weekend everyone.

    Weekend has gone :(
Just getting ready for full week at part time job. Biggest problem is clothes, I wear the same old same old at work all of the time, nothing else fits properly :(

Did some voluntary work and admin on Saturday morning, then a day of pottering domestically, washing in washing out, washing in washing out and repeat. All dried of rads and OH ironing his own shirts tonight :)
Did not go to visit mum this weekend as sibling and her husband spent weekend with her. I did some form filling etc and looking up stuff for her though.
Did grocery shop, roasted chicken last night and put carcass in slow cooker overnight to make stock. This morning used the stock as base for casserole, loaded with veg and some pork. That's been simmering all day, we've had dinner and there is enough left over for tomorrow. Also some cold chicken for sandwiches/wraps etc. Am patting myself on the back as I think I've eaten really healthily and cheaply this weekend and have only had two biscuits:T ALL WEEKEND:rotfl:
Too wet for garden, but have another carrier of clothes to go to recycling.
Hope it all lasts beyond the first week of New Year...

You sound like you've been very productive NOA. I love making the most of my food too, make those pennies work double time :)

What's the answer on the work clothes front do you think?

Thanks Bob, Just trying to get back into good habits again :) and also trying to make everyone understand that 15 mins help from each of them makes a huge difference.

On the clothes front - am in between sizes for trousers due to bloating and some excess pounds . If I can lose a few lbs I'll have several pairs I can get back into. I have tried to buy some but returned most things. I end up wearing a few jersey skirts and dresses all the time, but in this weather could do with something warmer! I have a goal to do this in the next four weeks. Have been eating convenience food quite a bit in the last 3 months which hasn't helped. No point buying next size up as it makes me feel really frumpy and even bigger than I am. :(

If that fails then I don't know :(

Am tired tonight. Worked and also met up with a friend for an hour for coffee. Trying to do one nice social thing each week. Called home and spoken to mum. Didn't see he this weekend and I feel a bit agitated about it.

Quick shower and bed for me now. Have started resting in bed listening to meditation tapes instead of just trying to keep going all the time.

I used the meditainment website, you can pay for access or cycle through I different place each month for free... it takes you to an island or secret garden and it did wonders for my sleep. Really should try it again at the moment!
Hate that clothes issue, but as you say if only half a size different will easily drop enough to get back in them... or charity shops you might find something fab and cheap? :)

Haven't tried that site jvr - will take a look - I have just been using various ones on u-Toob - all free, and found a couple I really like. Don't think I sleep any longer, still feel tired all the time, but at least I "rest"

re dropping half a size - should be easy but easier said than done! but then it hasn't been the best of years and I have tended to comfort eat :(

I'm afraid I'm not much of a charity shop shopper, not much good at sales either - I hate rummaging! I like to be able to just pick out the size I want from an orderly rail :o the ultimate in lazy shopper. I thing my laziness started when we had to start being careful - it was easier to not go shopping - hated browsing when you knew you couldn't buy! the less I went the more I hated going. and now I just get exasperated by it all. not a very good frame of mind really.

Had a good couple of days with portion control but lapsed a bit today, eating tonight when I wasn't really hungry, anxiety mounting again, lots of little reasons all adding up.

NOA absolutely sympathise with emotionally eating its my down fall. The only way I manage to not sometimes is smoking excessively which I don't recommend as a solution!
Are there any healthy snacks you actually enjoy you could keep in to eat at times like that?

Its funny I hate sales shopping as it stresses me but love charity shopping. And now hate normal shopping as I am getting used to charity shop prices.

Healthy snacks......Errrr Flapjacks? smeared with the stuff made from cocoa beans?? ;) :rotfl:
Did buy dried fruit last week, someone doesn't satisfy as much as chocolate!

Took DS for eye test after work today so that's ticked off list.
New passport has arrived. I do so love an efficient service. :)
If only everything was that easy.

Contacted friend I haven't seen for nearly a year - provisional date to meet up next weekend.

DD's little cheap run around has problems - will cost £400 to fix, will probably get it done as can't afford anything better for her yet, but wondering if it going to become a money sink hole. She paid her insurance so doesn't have money to cover repair - she has enough saved to see her through her academic year without me needing to top up at the moment.

Eyes getting tired, finding it hard to read on screen so will say good night for now. Glad it is Friday tomorrow, it has been a long week. Need to focus on tax stuff this weekend. Also have to take DD back.
