Domains: see #503 in http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Resource/0043/00439021.pdf
Dialling code: #500. Not sure the telcos will agree (in which case they would presumably be nationalised, lol).
Can't find anything about SWIFT, BIC, international money transfers etc. Presumably the answer will be the same - keep the status quo0 -
Searching for the info on domains i see this report is a load of rubbish.497. Will I have to pay roaming charges on my mobile phone
in other parts of the UK?
No. There will be no international roaming charges across
Scotland and the rest of the UK. There is no reason why
companies would wish to frustrate customers on either side
of the border by introducing charges.
The EU has cut charges for international voice calls, texts and
internet access by 75 per cent since 2007, and the European
Commission has recently published proposals to ban incoming
call charges while travelling in the EU from 1 July 2014, and to
abolish all other mobile roaming charges by 2016.0 -
Also what makes all this hilarious about moving away from Westminster is how they want to still be part of Europe! Even the UK has lost control of decisions by being in the EU, but scotland are ok with that apparently. Some please explain that logic to me.0

It always amazes me how the assumption seems to be that their 'Scottish' politicians are going to be all-knowing, shining paragons of virtue who would never make a wrong decision when it is 99.99999% likely they are just going to turn out to be just as self-centred, inept, corrupt and generally useless as every other politician in the world.
Still, if a yes vote happens, then I suppose they can at least yell at their own politicians instead of English ones when they make the inevitable c##k ups that are going to be part of normal political life.
Yes, I do have a very poor and cynical view of politicians in case anyone hadn't noticed.
Yelling at the scottish PM a couple of years ago didn't help much did it? (!!!! Brown).0 -
NHS is a long term policy - UK want it privatised - it will never go back if it is, Scotland want to power to stop it being privatised.
90% of rUK voters want the NHS to remain free at the point of use.
90% of Scottish voters want the NHS to remain free at the point of use. Totally different outlook as you can see.
NHS Scotland spends more on private services than several English regions and this has ballooned under the SNP.
The rUK NHS budget has increased in real terms. All parties are committed to real terms increases and any privatisation savings are to be reinvested. The SNP have imposed real terms cuts on the Scottish NHS.
The new Edinburgh Sick Kids has just been announced as a massive PFI deal following on from the "pigeons in operating theatre" and "maintenance crew cutting power during surgery" success stories of the Infirmary.
Scotland wants pretty much the same as the rest of the UK does. Incidentally, one of the major steps involving the private sector in E&W NHS was only passed in parliament because Scottish MPs voted in favour of it. If Scotland is so against it, why did we (through our elected representatives) force it upon the English and Welsh?
But don't let facts get in the way of nice soundbites.0 -
Wikipedia thinks he is, and so do a lot of the journos
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Sillars
So does Alex Salmond. They have been campaigning together and telling everyone how they have put their differences aside to make a joint effort. (while their core beliefs are very similar, Sillars was more vocal and on the fringe while Salmond wanted to move the party to be more moderate and electable)0 -

Good to know I'm not alone; thought it was only me that doesn't trust that pit of vipers also known as politicians.0 -
