You mean freedom for Scottish politicians to make the decisions for Scottish people, those politicians being, of course, just as inept and corrupt as those you already have as UK citizens!

i'm not sure - its closer than you think - sectarian issues are just as strong in parts of glasgow where walls also exist.

there's a reason why there was never an IRA attack on scotland - its 'cos the local would all board ferries and attack back!
I thought it was because so many of them lived in Scotland! Certainly seems plenty of them when Celtic play from the songs I've heard!!

I hope people go into to this referendum taking a long term approach, it is not a vote for Alex Salmond or the SNP, or a vote against the Tories etc.

Political parties and leaders can and do change, economic situations can and do change.

This is quite simply a vote about giving the Scotland to make its own decisions forever. There will be short term consequences and long term consequences.

IMO there will be a hard few years to get through before Scotland prospers in its own right.

NHS is a long term policy - UK want it privatised - it will never go back if it is, Scotland want to power to stop it being privatised.

The YES campaign is run by the SNP, and they want independence now and know that must voters are just interested in the here and now - will they be better off immediately after independence - it is a way to way to win the votes.

IMO it's the wrong way to look at it - voters should be looking at it as a chance to change the future!

what do you mean by privatised?
as NHS is a devolved matter why does what happens in Wales or N Ireland or England matter to Scotland?

It always amazes me how the assumption seems to be that their 'Scottish' politicians are going to be all-knowing, shining paragons of virtue who would never make a wrong decision when it is 99.99999% likely they are just going to turn out to be just as self-centred, inept, corrupt and generally useless as every other politician in the world.

Still, if a yes vote happens, then I suppose they can at least yell at their own politicians instead of English ones when they make the inevitable c##k ups that are going to be part of normal political life.

Yes, I do have a very poor and cynical view of politicians in case anyone hadn't noticed.

    No,

if YES win then they will blame the English for at least the next 25 years for everything that goes wrong?

That totally misses the fundamental issues that the NHS needs to address to survive in its current form. Salmond hasn't told you how much tax will need to rise to fund his plans.

I wonder what top level domain Scotland will use instead of .uk
It can't be .sc as the Seychelles have that

Will financial institutions have to introduce a new country code for BIC addresses and ISIN and SEDOL codes for use on the SWIFT network and elsewhere?

For that matter what will their international dialling code be? Could get quite expensive phoning your granny in Glasgow :)
