Have now got two night shifts this weekend, ohh not looking forward to that! But money is money!
Seems I have been accepted by the other agency, so this should make it easier for me! They will do advance bookings as well, so thats good with hubbys work.
Off on a spa day tomorrow, I cannot wait, paid and organised the other month so minimal spends hopefully tomorrow.
Chickens are still laying an egg each a day, I cant believe how well they are doing, and our littlest, who was in the worst condition, is getting more feathers on her bottom! Hopefully will be covered up for winter! Debating if they may need a coat for the coop in the Winter so may do some temp readings in there when it gets colder!
Need to get back into meal planning and with nights coming up, doing some batch cooking I think.

Spa day was brilliant and great value for money! Salt scrub and a facial, afternoon tea and use of lovely facilities all included. Would like to take hubby there as he could do with some chill out time!
Friday and Sunday nights went well, was at a different place last night and wed and thurs I am on nights as well. With the slight increase in night wage these five nights almost make up for only two shifts last week. Only a late shift booked in for next week so far.
Got a phone call from the mortgage company, hubby said the guy was obviously confused and struggled to explain, but apparently we cant just send adhoc payments- even thought I spoke to someone and they gave me the bank details! I will be chasing this to investigate! He said it was a £1000 minimum which I can work towards but the confusion is in the two different conversations.
Going to make a list of all the things I need to do for the second agency and after this week of tiring nights, I will chase another rescue regarding the massage, really dont want to let this slip with chasing shifts!
Watching Stacey Dooley- love her- the cotton industry has so much to answer for, absolutely shocking!!

Ah, I am being very bad at keeping on top of my diary!
Had a lovely Christmas, working this weekend but am off for New Years as well, so thats nice!
I will be thinking and planning out plans for next year, need to look at the finances and sort of loads of carp we have collected!
Got a fantastic bargain for the spare room, a lovely green set with wardrobe, 2 chest of drawers and 2 bed side tables for £45. Have started to set everything up, but need to go through all the old furniture- will be utilised as storage in the shed now!- they are full of things!
Lots to do!
Hope everyone is well, I will be popping in soon!

So have been on the mortgage page and we are rocking into 2019 with our mortgage standing at:£158,003!
Now, Tesc0 web page is very basic and never worked out about overpayments after the mini fiasco, so didnt realise how close to the 157's we would be....would have been an awesome start to the New Year had I realised! Haha. Instead, February will see us drop into the next thousand bracket!
I am currently running through our finances and looking at ways to reduce costs and make money go further this year, especially with my unpredictable work pattern!!
Hope you all have a wonderful 2019!

Thanks MFD!
Have found a super king size bed for £50 on the book of face, hoping to collect this week, this will mean more room for us humans as the dogs seem to get the most space!Haha. Have been looking at ways to make a great headboard as the headboard is very basic, also thinking about painting it a different colour!
Going on a trip to Ikea tomorrow with my bestie, mostly going to check things out! No definate plans to spend, but a good mooch!
Kon-Maring the house is going well, loving the TV show on NetflIx! Spare room looks so good, our bedroom is partly started and hoping to have it done by the weekend! All clothes have been sorted for joy, and if found lacking, thanked for their time!
I have loads of grand ideas of things I want to do at the moment, need to sort myself out and prioritise!

Super King Size bed collected, looks in great condition. Will shop for a mattress soon...dont fancy a second hand mattress!haha.
In less money saving news, have booked our flights for New York- Thom@s C00k do an early bird- we are booking for June 2020 for a wedding. Flights: £859 for both of us, economy premium one way and premium the other. Will be booking seats on economy premium- an extra £50, I am very happy to do this, seats are included on premium on the way back. Premium was a lot more on the way out but only £15 more on the way back!
Exciting stuff!

As I am teetering on the edge of my bed I can appreciate why you went for a bigger bed :rotfl:
I think you can call the flights money saving if they are much cheaper than you would have to pay if they weren’t on the early deal0 -
Haha ETE very good point!!!
So, I have an admission to make- I have managed to rack up £923.39 of personal debt since attempting agency work as my main income. This is due to overspending on presents at Christmas and generally being a bit silly and materialistic- £523.59 of the total. The remaining £400 was £580 that I borrowed from hubby to manage the shortfall of earnings that first month- October 2018. I have paid £180 back so far and hoping to send a little more over to him and the credit card this month- both are 0% thankfully!haha. I am actually acutely ashamed of this- but am trying to focus on why this happened and stopping it in the future.
One way of stopping this, is we have agreed that rather than me always paying £1125 into our joint account and allowing myself £500, I will pay into the house account what I can afford and we adjust accordingly. We can live this way if we need to and it saves me 'debting' myself for no reason. My money will still cover the bills!
Also, not put anything on credit card since December- except holiday stuff which was why we got the card- for myself. All other adds are agreed and it is 0% until 2020.
Plan this month is to look at paying £50 to hubby and credit card and keep £100 as a small buffer for this month. Have enough shifts three weeks of the next pay month so far, so thats reassuring.
Also, have realised that I am being charged 40% on the second agency job and have been for past three pays, there is no way I am going to earn anything like £40k a year!! So will be ringing tomorrow to try and sort this out.
