Today has been a little money saving as in, have purchased the Universal studios tickets, at the moment they are including Volcano Bay in with the studios and islands of adventure. So a eye watering £274 pounds each, but access to all three parks, unlimited for 14days. Used the holiday account to pay for these upfront which is nice!

Will also be getting DH to return some clothes that dont fit when he goes out today which is needed in my personal account this month! Less than a week to pay day, woohoo!

Have popped some more money over to the OP pocket, it stands at £44.04 at the moment! Yay!

    Thanks MFD!

It worked really well in my favour as I am the holiday/travel lover in the house, my folks have asked us to Florida a few times as they time share, this was the first time we thought it would be affordable so we agreed. Cue a few months later being invited to New York the following year for a wedding (Hubby is best man so has to go- yay!)! No way hubby would have agreed two such massive holidays had they come up together!

A bit more MFW is that I have made a vat of leek and potato soup for the week, made veggie bangers and mash- swede, carrots and potato for today and made a vanilla sponge- our own eggs, added some red food colour and it is a fab pink! Tastes delish! I am not a good cooker or baker so pleased with this!!

Financial chat today has led to some budget ideas! Current pots:
    • Driveway- £3k
    • House budget- £0
    • Holiday budget- £699
    • Personal savings- £220
    Aim-

    • No change to driveway budget unless it is not enough! Just need quotes and to get it done!
    • House budget- to increase by £200 a month (starting Oct pay day), no definative amount being aimed for.
    • Holiday savings are £250 a month, I think this needs to increase by £100-£200 to help not use credit cards (plan to increase Oct pay day)
    • Personal savings- I would like these to be back at £1k, but at the moment will be happy to save anything and use for birthdays and Christmas, then next year build it up again!

Last night went to 'rave tone', bit achy today! Off to clubbercise tonight, will pick two other exercise classes next week, plan on allowing £10 a week for classes as part of trying to be healthier. Lost another pound of weight, happy with that but have a target and need to lose 6.5pounds in just over five weeks, so one pound isnt quite enough! Not being hard on myself though, that doesnt help.

    Pay day on Friday, hooray!!

So tomorrow our friends dad is coming round to quote for the front driveway, after annoying patio man I just want someone we can trust, so hoping he would be willing to do the work. He does this work anyway but isnt really that local so will only work if he is willing to travel.

Clubbercize was almost fun last week, this week am doing aqua zumba and Clubbercise, so two classes again. Have got a replacement fitbit which is so nice, have missed it so much! Still tracking kcals on MFP as well.

Hubby has been working away a lot which has sucked, he is looking very tired and is up very early tomorrow for another job, then in all next week

Not got my agency shifts booked yet which is making me a little nervous, but the agency said that I will have more than enough work.

Friday was money shuffle from me- had £300 left, so have put £100 into the holiday and £200 to the side for MOT/service next month. Have bought large part of hubbies birthday present and some bits of birthday present for my friend, need to find something for my dad and my mum, whose birthdays are coming up!

Have also been debating having my eye lashes permed again, it looked really good, and maybe doing gel nail things with halloween stickers on for our getaway to London. Not very good at being girly generally!

Girls are all really well, tarpaulin over the runs managed really well given the stormy weather and they seem nonplussed, loads of eggs!

Going to make soup again tomorrow for next week, this was definately helpful with calorie counting and also more filling than other stuffs!

I like the idea of a 0% card for juggling payments with the 2 big holidays - we first took one out for when we went to Florida in 2016 - it just helped with timings and meant no interest costs. Did it again with our kitchen refurb (at the start of this year) and holiday last Oct - we were throwing all money into the kitchen refurb savings but booked a short break in Oct and put it on 0% and cleared it a few months later. I have no issues with this - if you have the discipline to pay it off in a reasonable timescale. We're thinking (only loosely and tentatively) about Florida possibly again in 2020 - I have no doubt I'd use a 0% deal or that again if I found one at an appropriate time! :)

Lots going on - but all sounding positive and happy over here :) x

    Lovely to 'see' you ETE!!

Thanks greent, clever use of a credit card isnt to be frowned upon, you are correct!

I have applied and got a 0% for 27months, they gave me a £4k limit which is terrifying, haha. This will only be used as a buffer and I will make a note of the 0% ending just in case we need to tart it!

Feeling a little low today, partly as I have been out drinking both Friday and Saturday which isnt helpful, but also that my 5 year old nephew made 3 comments about me being fat yesterday. I know I am fat, I have been for a while, but I guess its made me think how many people probably think about how fat I am, but politeness stops it from being said aloud. Also, alcohol and eating more food means that all my exercise last week and better eating has been neutralised or wiped out. Meh.

Money shuffles all completed, mortgage amount hasnt changed yet so I assume it will take a few days to show. I sent an OP of £63.22 over today as well, pleased with this.

Other saving pockets are sitting nicely, good to see these growing. My funk has improved slightly have done a big walk and spent time with the dogs.

Agency appear to have no shifts for me this week, in fact they are being quite unhelpful so will be joining another one on Wednesday. Husband can lend me any shortfall this month, which is reassuring as I was getting a little anxious.

Have contacted the local dog rescue to ask if they would like 1-2 massage sessions a week from me on a voluntary basis, fingers crossed, if not there are two other local rescues I can ask.

Happy 1st of October one and all, I do love halloween month!
