    Tough call tonight:

Skate with blackened butter and capers, new potatoes and green beans

    or

Going to the drive thru at the Golden Arches

Guess which one I've opted for

I'm going to go for option B? ;)
  • I agree with the OP. Maccy Dees in NYC had far more choice than we ever have. Also on this subject KFC in South Africa is fab. With a choice of mash potato, creamed sweet corn, flavoured savoury spices in little packets to sprinkle over your chicken, if you so desire! On route from Johannesburg airport to my sisters house is always a stop for KFC with mash not chips. Ok ok I know I'm sad............

My OH goes to KFC in Angola when he's over there. He says it's better than the ones here. I'm not entirely sure if it's chicken he'll be eating though. :D

We tend to go to MacDonald's after we've gone to a gig or similar. That's really the only time I'll go there.

Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

No, sad would have been stopping at a Wimpy. Made that mistake a few years ago when starving hungry after an overnight flight with rubbish dinner, an even more inedible breakfast and 3 hours into a 4 1/2 hour drive. I actually spat it out of the car window, it was that vile. Only saved by an iced latte with 4 shots of espresso at Millys 10k later. According to the godson KFC SA has gone downhill since they stopped making the Double Crunch.

He probably doesn't want to know about 'walkie-talkie' then. Southern African description of 'chicken' - namely heads and feet. Probably whats in our chicken mcnuggets.

You can get a burger at Gourmet Burger Kitchen for the price of a large Maccy D's meal? Really?
I was in there couple of weeks ago and it cost twenty quid for burger, fries and a milkshake...(lucky I wasn't paying ;))
