Mcdonalds is so boring in the UK!

Tried their toastie in Ireland when I was over there in June, there would have been more flavour and moisture if I'd chewed a piece of cardboard.0

Not a McD fan, no different in France either other than you can get beer in the meal deal.0

Why are Mcdonalds so boring in this country? There is no originality or exciting burgers and menu items like you see in other countries. Dont they realise that more people would come to eat there if they had promotions that were exciting, rather than just another burger in a different bun or with bacon on!
Because with all due respect, it's crap food. If you want a proper burger go to Goumet Burger Kitchen.
Sometimes I crave McDonald's and what do I buy? Nuggets that I know are made from all sorts and a Big Mac or maybe a quarter pounder with cheese that's full of crap. I go because it's plastic cheap food And I like it but I don't complain it's not exciting.
The big M know that people go there for a quick cheap crappy burger and stick with what has been popular for a looooong time.
If I want something decent and exciting I go to Gourmet Burger Kitchen, where for the same price of a large maccy D's meal you can a proper burger that exciting, fresh and you can't beat that! The more I live the more I am shocked by ignorance, the more I realise we as a human race are doomed because of the chains we continue to wear.
People need to open their minds to the myriad of possibilities even in traditional circumstances. If I could delete my MSE account I would.0 -

Hungry Horse (special prize for the first person to make the obvious joke)
Classic Burger & Fries & a pint for £4.99 (Mon-Fri).
It's a proper thick Quarter Pound burger, with a minimum of messing around. Fries a little disappointing, but quite tasty.
Pint can be a soft drink, or a glass of wine or G&T.
McDs have different menus all over the World. The weird thing is that they sell everywhere as "American" food, when it is always adjusted for the local market.

In France, I've had an oval-shaped burger with Mushroom sauce on it, and a Big Mac with a wholemeal bun (au Pain Complet). Both delicious (though French McD's is more expensive than here).0 -
I went to one in Paris in March...
They had so many variations it was mental! I ended up having a chicken burger which had ham pieces on the top o the bun and a sauce I've never tasted in the UK. Then they had a huge desert range and an equally impressive hot drink range. I ordered a caramel latte or something and had to go to another station where they took/made hot drink orders.
UK is boring, though I hardly eat there anyway (about once every 3 months)0 -

I've been to Paris twice in the last couple of years - what have I missed out on ??
The Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Montmatre, Cafe des 2 Moulins (look it up !) - I missed McDonalds !!! OMG - Quel domage !0 -
You missed Quick Burger, too.
I can't fathom the QB menu. Just too unfamiliar. Weird names too: "Long Bacon", is one of theirs.0 -
