gettingready - I looked into a milk maker a while ago, we've still got wedding money left over, and as hubs bought a PS4 I get to spend the equivalent on what I want...hummmmm0

Vegusto do some lovely fake cheeses.
I've only ever tried a couple of vegan 'hard' cheeses and I didn't like them at all! I'll look into Vegusto though!0 -
I need to:
1. lose weight
2. stop drinking
3. stop smoking
4. start exercising
5. stop thinking of ways I can avoid 1-4!!
Mind if I join? I won't be starting until Monday (better known as 'getting my life sorted September!') but will cheer you on this weekend too!!

Number 5 made me laugh
I went a little walk to tesco earlier - my ankle is still recovering so I didn't want to push it. Definitely can't run on it
Today I had a (nutribullet-less) smoothie consisting of: 1 head of fresh greens, 2 cups coconut water, 1 cup banana, 1 avocado and half a pot of strawberries/blackberries and blueberries. It made 1 ltr of smoothie and was nice... if a bit sickening by the end
I youtubed a video of the nutribullet last night and ended up taking a journey through raw food - fullyrawkristina being a main player. It's definitely something I'm interested in - I think the family would have a hissy fit if I suggested that as a permanent diet change though! Lol. However, I'll definitely be incorporating elements into my personal diet (breakfasts/work lunches, etc).
I'm doing a reiki class tomorrow and I'm really excited about it - it just fits my ethos of naturally healthy.0 -
I have been good all day.
2 big jugs of the water from page 1 here, massive salad (lamb lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, radishes, eggs and tiny bit of fat free dressing.
Few of the Holland and barret no cafe coffees with almond milk and brown unrefined sugar..
Cleaned up the flat, took my furry girl (40kg of of German Shepherd) for a nice walk - met 2 of her friends, also GS so it was all great.
Let the cats out for a while - now the furry monsters are trying to kill one moth that was silly enough to get into my flat - got to catch it and let it out, with 4 cats got no chance poor thing...
Overall good day - exercise and smoking have to wait as I can only do one thing at a time and my relationship with food (read: chocolate) was baddddddddddddddddddddd so this is what I am tackling first
Have a good night everyone and update tomorrow
Oh, sorry, got to show you my girl.... Zara is at the back, at the front Billy and Bono in the middle
Anyone who wants to be forced to have some exercise - get a dog.... I do not need gym and weight lifting when I have Zara on a lead and fox appears...LOL0 -
By the way re vegetable juice/smoothies/eating raw etc.
What veggies do you love? What veggies do you hate?
I really do not like the taste of celery or rocket - bleeeeeeeeeeeeee, mix them with other things to kill the smell/taste
I don't mind any other veggies really - unless I forgot something or never tried it.
Herbs - I love coriander, fresh of course. And mint.... yummyyyy0 -
oh Zara is lovely!! I recently had to rehome my beloved lab and I miss him so much words can't describe, worst day of my life, still can't talk about him without welling up...
I just completed C25K!!! wahoooo!!! I really feel like I have the exercise part sorted now, I'm motivated, enjoying it and reaping the benefits. I will do my other exercises later, all I want right now is a shower! (waiting for the hot water to heat)
So, now to tackle eating/drinking, weekdays I am fine, but weekends I'm a mess. Starting my totally vegan month today, which should help, but alcohol is my real downfall, so no more beer.
RE veggies - I love most of them, I think I hate tomatoes, but I don't because if I buy a salad and they're there I still eat them. Cucumber is probably my favourite.
I think I'll make a smoothie for breakfast today, frozen berries, 1/2 a banana and some soya milk.
Have a lovely Sunday!0 -
Those puppies are absolutely beautiful!!!
I love all sorts of juices..I tend to have a basic of apple, carrot and beetroot then add the stronger flavoured veg in small handfuls. I was vegan for a long time and still have all the equipment that I acquired as a result...Champion juicer, Excalibur dehydrator, spiralizer, tofu press and soy milk maker...only thing I am missing is the high powered blender which I feel is essential for a fully raw food diet..however, its relatively easy to have a decent amount of raw in your diet without one. I would recommend a spiralizer though...courgette 'spaghetti' is fab and all of my family are more than happy to eat it
Gonzo..have you tried roasted tomatoes? Skin them, cut in half horizontally, sprinkle with finely chopped garlic, salt and black pepper, drizzle with olive oil then top with fresh basil...coast in the oven for about 35 mins until the edges start to char slightly...a small drizzle of balsamic when you take them out and serve with salads or anything actually!! They are absolutely lush and can happily be eaten cold tooMortgage 12.12.12 £55842 12.12.13 £42716 14.12.14 £28837 13.12.15 £25913
