Shame you didn't end up in London yesterday, Dusty - we could have met up! It's been too long x

LW - I think you have just set yourself a September challenge :p

Ok, I've been to Mr A (some amazing bargains there!), washing is drying and I'm off to see Dad.

Picked up all the stuff on S's floor - got rid of a whole black bin bag full of stuff! Going to rehome some stuff to CS but have to be careful cos he can be rather precious about his stuff; will do it another time. Also stripped and remade his bed. Z has made a start on hers but more to do; not going to do it today as once Z is at her friends I'm going to put my feet up! Done an hour of paid stuff too.

    Jazee and Dusty's DS1 - congratulations! :j

Congrats to Jazee and Dusty's DS1. We are still waiting to hear about the interview DH went for.

I've made on big pie and 5 little ones from the left over stuff - although the pastry lids are a bit thin on the last couple!

Also done some maths and spelling with DD and talked through plans for this half term. Also watched a couple of short ancient history DVD clips

Plumber has mended the pipe and it wasn't such a big job as it could have been.

And then i was cold and couldn't warm up so lay in bed to listen to the Archers and fell asleep - I suppose that was inevitable really! So now I need a cuppa and think I will have a dust round before DS comes home and tells me all about his first day (or not, which is more likely!)

Flyladies, just popping in from the paid stuff to say thank you for all your posivibes - I have a new job!! A bit more travelling so I won't be able to get so much flying done in the mornings any more, but I'm really looking forward to it.

Well done, Jazee! You're so organised and I'm sure you will still fly with us as much as you can.
Ionafan thanks for running the September Challenge, much appreciated.

Looks like I've got a new job too, then? ;)
.. popped into DS1's work to congratulate him - he got the Apprenticeship he went for :T:j:j. It is working for a large worldwide company at their London office. Two years, with 2 days per month at a college and the rest of the time in the office. He will also be only 10 minutes walk from DS2's uni halls which he moves into at the end of DS1's first week.

Brilliant news - well done to your DS1. Things will be quiet in the Kitten household from September!

Lunchtime guests have been and gone - lovely to see them :) - and now I have to go and build and bake the lasagne and prepare chips for tea with DS1 and co. It's a good thing I feel on top of things today :j DH will be out wargaming this evening so I shall have a few hours to myself again - might do some paper shredding or write some emails.

Jazee congratulations, I hope you love your new job.

Paid gardening was doing boring stuff but never mind. Need to go back next week to do another 45 minutes.

    Going to get dinner on
    Get washing in
    Clean the bathroom

Bah! Once again, I'm reading, but not retaining the information!:(

It's taken me a third dip into the Fred to realise Dusty's DS1 also deserves congratulations. Oh well, better late than never.;)

Me too, sorry if I have missed anything important, I feel rubbish today. For me September will be about getting ready for the new kitchen but there is also some serious decluttering to be done. Standards have slipped badly over the summer and I really have to try and make some time to get things back on track.

Although at the moment I just feel overwhelmed by it all. Any practical tips for clearing out my wardrobe? That would be a good start.

Congratulations Jazee and Dusty's DS1. I love your early every day busy posts, Jazee! Hole in tooth plugged, weekly shop done at market with OH instead of supermarket, so feeling v. virtuous.
    Better is good enough.
