Dusty, I'm defo up for a September Challenge, and this time I'll commit to just one thing instead of trying to do four and finding myself flummoxed by the lack of success and progress.

Second WM load twirling, BM on, emergency dentist appointment finally booked for a filling that fell out at least 10 days ago (oops), and all other required dailies semi-sorted. I have lost the will to fly, tbh and I know that being on this thread is the only way I'll get it back.

It may have something to do with the fact that after flying for two years, the house is so much cleaner and tidier than on the best days before I joined the thread, iyswim!
    Better is good enough.

    Hi all,

Jacket spuds are still rock hard

Spent ages round the shops - racks and racks of white trainers, not one in DS size! Eventually found a pair in BHS, even they had to go search through the stock room. It's not like he's an odd size either. Anyway. We are all set for school.

Still haven't vacced downstairs. Might sweep LR floor now...

ETA: my September challenge would be to look after myself a bit better :o this time next week I will be in hosp so trying to give myself an easy ride at the mo x

thank you for the company iona and mumof2, hope you both achieved what you set out to do.

I dusted and hoovered the whole house and cleaned the ensuite and shower in HHCx3 (the time it took DH to clean the bedroom windows - but at least we can see out now!). Our friends have just rung to say that they hit traffic around Bath and will be here about 12:50. Lunch is all ready, the table is laid, and I have time for a :coffee: before they arrive :)

If nobody else wants to take on the September challenge stars duty, I'd be happy to do it, Dusty. My challenges are to re-sort my study cupboards and all my resource materials in the eaves void and to plant out all the spring bulbs that I've ordered :D

Mumto2 hopefully there will be other children on the bus to push the bell and all get off at the same stop. DS2 can get off at 3 different stops depending on how far he wants to walk.

Nope, she's the only one from out here! She'll be OK I know.

In the HHC I vacuumed all downstairs but had to go around first with the dustpan and brush to get rid of all the little sticks Whiz had pinched out of the box to go in the woodburner, norty boy! Also hung up the washing to dry on the airer and put Z's trainers and winter coat in to wash. Then I've been out for a lovely walk with Z and the dogs.

Flyladies, just popping in from the paid stuff to say thank you for all your posivibes - I have a new job!! A bit more travelling so I won't be able to get so much flying done in the mornings any more, but I'm really looking forward to it.

Ionafan thanks for running the September Challenge, much appreciated.

Been blackberry picking with DS3 and popped into DS1's work to congratulate him - he got the Apprenticeship he went for :T:j:j. It is working for a large worldwide company at their London office. Two years, with 2 days per month at a college and the rest of the time in the office. He will also be only 10 minutes walk from DS2's uni halls which he moves into at the end of DS1's first week.

Lunch next for DS3 and me and I'll wash some more towels then off to the gardening job for a couple of hours, DS3 can come with me as there will be nobody home.

Congrats on the new job Jazee.:T

I'm not sure I'm up for any challenges in September; it's going to be challenge enough getting through the kitchen refit with my sanity more or less intact, I don't think I should really put any more pressure on myself. Maybe next time.;)

A's visit last night went pretty well, except when he went on a mini-rant about the recent news re Rotherham, and brought back some horrible, horrible memories for me.:( It wasn't deliberate; there's no way he could've known, he was just so indignant on behalf of all those victims.:(

Anyways, we now have the overnight stuff put away, and storage boxes out of the loft ready to use, and Lizzie's holiday pic has been emailed to the franchisee.

The deep fat fryer has, I think, died. I keep finding little puddles of oil on the worktop, even though it hasn't been used.:( Might just get Mr LW to get rid of it, and hold off on getting a replacement til after the refit - one less thing to find a temporary home for!
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
