amazon credit card closing down

I wonder if we will get them. They were quick enough to remove them..
I think it's a bit early to start wondering if the voucher is coming. They say the card will be with us by the end of October; I would expect the voucher to arrive in a similar time frame*. Banks don't often like to do things quickly - especially involving paying out!
I made a purchase on Amazon on 30th September and it's still pending. I for one would like to see this purchase appear in recent transactions before the vouchers are produced to make sure it's included. Perhaps awkward folk like me are the reason everyone is waiting.
*Edit: stavros posted it's the 20th October while I was originally typing this post; so that fits with my hypothesis0 -
Have been told we will get our vouchers by 30/10/2014, but Live Chat couldn't tell me how many points I had accumulated as they had all dropped off. How ridiculous! Also asked why I wasn't offered a rewards card (yes I pay mine off in full every month). Was told each account was reviewed individually, but I could apply for one if I wanted. Absolutely no help at all.0

I've applied for a tesco card based on the following:
I've had one before and use tesco.
Customer service is good for credit card when I have had to call them. (Mbna and Barclays aren't)
Had two company's cancel cashback so far this year. I don't think tesco will.
It's a uk company - mbna is usa
7.9% apr (I pay in full every month but you never know there might be a time when I cant)0 -
fair play if you are happy to go with TescoBank... and we collect Clubcard points fairly keenly, too.
but, as a card provider, i can't imagine being without MBNA in the deck, whereas i have dipped in & out of Tesco as a card provider, currently out with nothing on offer to tempt me back in. and their service is nothing special at all...MBNA have been good, over the years, and Amex is off the scale CS-wise. Barclays are consistently dire.0 -

Just a promotion, not an Amazon UK partnership.0 -
that is right..
for Amazon to come up with something really appealing in terms of points/cashback i reckon it would have to be an Amex and/or a fee paying card.. and if that is the case, i reckon just going for an Amex Amex is the way to go.
there are very few non-Amex options out there, and i have bagged the only option that makes cashback sense for me: Amex Cashback now back with CapOne Elite. nothing else in the game...but you do have to spend enough to cover the £120/yr fee and then get well into the black.0
