I've recently discovered the budgeting software YouNeedABudget (YNAB) which is amazing - anyone else use it? It did cost me £29.99 but you could do a similar method on a spreadsheet. I love the software though and have spent the last few days playing with the budget, is that sad? :rotfl:

Good heavens,I never knew you could home-make these .
My (still quite young) kids used to love these. As far as I know, they haven't eaten them for a while.Might have a go at making them.

I have been tweaking my (SW) diet over the last few days,so despite having shopped on Saturday, and still having lots of food in the house,I wanted to do abit of a top-up.

    So today have spent £26.09 in ALDI,and £38.17 in Tesco,total £64.26.
So,spends so far this month total £124.12/300.

Another £4.41 today, making my total £34.75/£80.

That was for cheese (special offer), milk, cream, butter, YS Kale and YS doughnuts :o in Sainsbury's. Basically the things that weren't available/good value in the Indian shop at the weekend. Didn't buy eggs because I can't bring myself to pay Sainsbury's prices for them now after getting used to Lidl.
    Saving for deposit: Finished! :j
    House buying: Finished!
Next task: Lots and lots of DIY

Out seeing Dawn French this evening, so dinner will be spag bol for DH and children, and I will eat out with friends. Nandos tomorrow with the family.

Congrats on the job offer, weight loss, also have a very happy birthday.

Went to the gym, bought a tub of Haagen Daz for £2.00 at Mr T. It was meant to be £3.15 but i had a voucher which entitled me to £1.15 off. :T. Also got a tub of Yeo Valley yoghurt for £1 and some reduced carrot batons for 29p at Mr S. The yoghurt is for DS1 who lives about 2 hours away and would be coming for the weekend. This brings my total so far to £25.05. I will get a few more items on friday for next week.

I'm having another NSD as I have no car again.
My fridge is looking quite bare though the freezer is full.

Bluegreen, I use YNAB and love it. I used to use my own spreadsheet to track finances, but if you needed to add in new categories then it was a pain recalculating all the formulas again to include the new categories. YNAB makes it so much easier and like you said, you can play around with it.
