A planned treat at the chippy is for me obly when my DGS comes and I only buy for him as I am following SW healthy eating, I only include in GC food for me, so the chippy meal for DGS is entertainment budget.

Thank you Meg72, this is a good idea, I count one portion for DH and myself as GC and one for the guests as entertainment! :j Sorted!
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Spent £13.36 today - peas, bananas, tomatoes, milk, Staffordshire oatcakes and bread. Only had a top up shop as didn't really need a lot and we are slowly using up some of he mountain of food we have in :)
Had to throw away two mushrooms this week but that's all.

£48.10 spent today, this is what I got:

    Farmers market:

    Cavolo Nero bunch
    Large cauliflower
    Large celery
    10 apples
    Dozen eggs
    Carrots

    Wholefood coop:

    800 g Brazil nuts
    300 g hazelnuts
    500 g walnuts
    300 g pumpkin seeds

    All organic, weights approximate

    Fish and chip shop:

    2 x fish and chips
    2 x mushy peas.

Not bad, decided to count both portions in GC as friends brought wine, which we would have got otherwise.

The only shock was the cost of the mushy peas, small cups at £1.30 each! Proportionally it was more expensive than the fish, ridiculous and it won't happen again.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

  • I'm doing my weekly shop in the morning. I'll only have dd with me as ds is at a party (with lunch provided!). I'll probably get her a treaty choccy thing while we're in ald!, but only if she asks ;)! Have been making the list for the last few days, and it needs to be £10-£15 to keep on track... I'm only feeding the children until weds lunch, then they're with their dad until Sunday dinner time, so shouldn't need too much as I will be eating from the freezer while they're away. It's so full!! Can't even fit in a new bag of frozen peas!!
Meal plan is Sunday don't know, Monday hot dogs, Tuesday sweet and sour chicken. Just need finger rolls for the meals, and then bread, small milk, yogs, butter, and a few other random bits and pieces. Oh, and fruit, but not too much. Grapes, bananas and one other should do it, I think. I hope!!

    Night all,
