Poodlehorse, I'm not sure if the Wii is a bit gimmicky - something you would play a few times, drunk, with friends, for a laugh, but then you'd get a bit bored of it? I think I would rather have a ps3.
Someone (I forget who, sorry, it might have been Pap??) was saying they are likely to come down in price a LOT towards Xmas though, so it might be worth hanging on a bit?
poodlehorse, i have a wii and its great fun... however the games i want/like arnt out yet :wall: and when they are they all come at once ~ not very mse  i do pick it up and put it down a lot but i must say my first love is the internet so that will always come first on my day off etc etc. I have had so many consoles since i was around 13 to now and most have ended up on ebay  i do feel this one will go there too but not for a few years yet. But i guess i am not a gaming addicti can give or take it but its fab for the family and everyone gets involved
hi snaggs, yes it was me that mentioned the ps3. Basically its crashing ~ big stylee. So most of the top websites/magazines (i have be duely informed by my brother) have predicted at least a 15% drop in price before/around xmas, they just arnt selling enough units and are producing too many. we shall see :rolleyes:0 -
My flatmate bought a Wii a couple of weeks ago - and I love the Wii sports! Never got into gaming (despite a year of dating a games tester who owned every console & game under the sun!) but I do enjoy it. I do wonder however how real gamers feel about it as I don't think it works so well with the more 'traditional' style of game (though I think you can buy a more traditional handset to go with it)Total Debt 13th Sept 2006 (exc student loan): £6240.06

storm... my brothers a 'real' gamer (as i see) approx 16~20 hours per day on his xbox360. But he loves the my wii, because its so much different to anything else he has played. unlike the 360 where its all serious (ie best lap times) this is all a bit of fun but it still has the team/competitive factor.
I must say traditional games do work on the wii i have downloaded some (orginal mario/sonic) and i use my classic controller for that and its simler to playing on the old nes controller. I have also got platform wii games, zelda & sonic which doesnt use the motion sensors in the remote as much as wii sports/wii play. Yes they do work but as you are using the two contollers (ie the remote and nunchuk) seperated it can take a while for you to pick up.
sorry ia for hijacking you thread0 -

a) because she didn't sound happy
b) she said they'd just send my registration cert through once it was all sorted
c) she wouldn't tell me what it was about
d) she said last time she wouldn't see me again until I was registered and was having my first inspection...Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Fingers crossed for you IA.
To be honest, I think it's OFSTED's way to be scary, and sound miserable.
Get cleaning and do your best tomorrow - you cant do any more hun. What will be will be, if they say no or not yet, something else will be around the corner I'm certain of that.
If it makes you feel any better, I'd be more than happy to leave my children in your capable hands.
Now get your flippin Marigolds on and get crackingIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

I've got a horrible feeling it's about what the doctor said. Ofsted wrote to him asking for more info about my depression... it's either that or the social services check.... I don't even know where to start with the house it's hardly fit for adults let alone children right now... but what's the point if she's just going to give me bad news/??????
