OK, firstly calm down - put the kettle on & have a cuppa (so English, but it does really work!)
Couple of points:
- if they weren't going to pass you then they wouldn't bother coming to see you again would they? You'd just get a letter saying, sorry but no.
- something may have come up that they want clarification on but please remember that it could be something pretty minor, as they're coming back again it could be something really silly like she forgot to measure a room or something last time!
- as for the house, make a list of rooms in the order she's most likely to see them, and work in that order - any friends or family around give them a quick call to help if they can - even if it's entertaining the kids whilst you clean the loo it all helps!Total Debt 13th Sept 2006 (exc student loan): £6240.06

Hugs IA as you are obviously worried about what it MIGHT be ie a no. But look at it that even if there is something they want clarified it isn't a permanent no, it could be soemthing really easy to change in the house or in your paperwork? I don't know how these things work exactly but please don't let whatever this is pull you down. And OFSTED woman might have just had a fight with her husband or being visited by her Aunt Flo or something totally unrelated to you.
I am going to take Pooky's (and others) advice to you about getting out more as I have fallen into the never going out trap too as it is so much hassle with just my DS age 2 1/2. I hate to think how hard it is with two of them. And I am also going to look out the wrist thingy that I bought ages ago and have now lost. I think I needed a kick up the backside. Although on the other hand I am trying and failing to potty train at the minute - I really don't know what I am doing. It has been two days and we haven't really got very far other than he now tolerates sitting on the toilet and he did a little wee on the consevatory floor while having a tantrum this morning (not sure what about but the box of tissues was getting the brunt of it LOL) and he got very upset about it. So I think it is progress that he knows that is an uh-oh moment. Any help from anyone gratefully accepted
Oh and sorry for hijacking your thread with talk of Wiis and indeed wees:rotfl:0 -

ARRRRRRRGHHHHH How can I stop stressing and worrying? It took a whole weekend and more to sort the house out last time and now I've got not even a day!! And for what? Probably for her to tell me that it's all been a total waste of time and they're not going to register me because the doctors told them I'm a nut job that couldn't look after her own kids let alone anyone elses!

I know OFSTED are different to the Care Commission (who registered me in Scotland) but I got an inspection before they registered me. In all I think the officer was out 3 times before they registered me.
Like the others said if it was a no then I think you would just get a letter, I don't think she would come out just to tell you no. I'm guessing she maybe wants to have a chat with you about the depression and what the doctor told them, they really need to be thorough but thats a good thing. If you were leaving your girls with someone you would want to know they'd been checked out properly wouldn't you?
Try not to let it get you down I'm sure it will be fine. Remember its a family home, not a showhouse she's coming to see, she wont be expecting it to be pristine.

ia please dont say that... your not a nut you have been through a hard time that effects many mothers everywhere each day. you went to the doctors to get treated for it, you havent hidden it from the ofstead and since you first had pnd you have changed. You can look after your children, they are dressed/feed/taught... my word to them you are their world... you are amazing... if the ofstead wont allow you to care for children then i guess its their loss but think positive, even if it only gets you through today and the meeting... be strong
i agree with storms post btw... take one room at a time... the first being the most important and ste can help when he gets home, even if its just keeping the children amused.0 -
It won't be an inspection, they normally wait until you're up and running and have children present - that way they can see you in action and see your proceedures and bookwork. They also give you notice that they will be inspecting you and ask for a suggestion of days that are best for you - then say they will turn up on one of those days at any given time (they normally say if they've not arrived by 10am then take it that they're not coming so you can get out and about).
To be honest I would imagine they have something they need to clear up. If you're that worried about it then phone them, ask what the purpose of the visit is - they should be able to give you more information."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

a) because she didn't sound happy
b) she said they'd just send my registration cert through once it was all sorted
c) she wouldn't tell me what it was about
d) she said last time she wouldn't see me again until I was registered and was having my first inspection...
Logically it's probably not great nor terrible news.
They probably are going to have some extra hoop because of the PND to jump through. If it was a no not ever they wouldn't bother visiting. It's probably a we'd like to wait a little bit longer just to check you're coping. Remember they have to show they have double checked everything.
Don't assume things and go tidy the house.0
