Sarah, when I have had depression, as I recover, I swing too far the other way, and get hyper, manically happy etc, then I swing back the other way and feel miserable again (although not quite as bad as with the initial depression), then I swing back to happy again, etc etc, with each swing becoming gradually less extreme, until eventually the mood swings calm down (give or take the normal pmt type stuff).
Could that be what's happening with you?"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Is there anyone (MIL?) who could have the girls overnight for you, so you could have a bit of time with Ste, and a nice early night? To SLEEP I mean!! :rotfl:"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

MIL already has our girls one evening a week for band practice so doubt she would be happy about having them overnight as well.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

What mic are you using? I assume you're talking vocal mics? It's kind of hard to offer a suggestion without knowing the PA setup. Are you using a desk, are you micing the amps for the guitar/bass. What is the PA?
For practice I would put the kit through an amp, then mic all the amps putting them through the PA, that way you can set levels on each instrument to get an overall mix.
Make sure you're using a decent vocal mic, you really can't go wrong with a Shure SM58 which is a classic and reliable vocal mic. You see them everywhere. I think the audix OM7 is the best vocal mic on the market, you get so much gain out of that mic, you do need a good mic technique though, but you get no spill from overheads and the such like because it's directional. It isn't cheap though. I have a bunch of SM58 here, I'll donate one if you need it, we use the audix mostly now so they don't go out a great deal any more.:A

Money worries can be really stressful, and you have had a rotten week with the car and the parcelforce stuff. I think it is very easy for money problems and budgeting to take over and it becomes unhealthy.
Lack of sleep is also a major major cause of stress, because you are running on empty. I know I have no patience with the kids when I haven't slept well. H was 10 months before he slept through the night and I wasn't prepared for it at all. DD slept through from 3 months and DS1 slept through from 6 weeks. I felt like a zombie for 10 months while we waited for H to crack the habit. I'm sure K will sleep in her own time.
When I have been really really tired in the past, we have all snuggled up on the sofa and had a nap together, or just laying down and resting can help. I keep dropping hints for my mum to take my kids over night for once, so I can have a break, but the hint never goes through!Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

I think the joy of grandchildren is supposed to be you can do the nice stuff and when they turn bad or you get bored or it involves too many bodily fluids you give them back and can ignore such hints.
Apparently being a grandparent is far more fun than being a parent...0 -
Your MIL seems quite nice though, if you tell her how you are feeling, I bet she would do it as a one off, just to let you catch up with a bit of sleep.
If you still haven't had any sleep by January I will get up with them in the night for you when I sleep on your sofa for the DFW meet....lol! (I know it's a long way off, but you've got to have something to look forward to. eh? :rotfl:)"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
