Bossymoo - I think a bought cake is the way to go! I've done a bit of cake creating, but all my lot want now is chocolate fudge cake, every birthday every year! Nice and easy, and the cake bit is dairy free (I'm lactose intolerant) although not the icing!

I managed to get to the supermarket, thinking I would have time to get home, have a good tidy around and sort out washing before cooking, but the journey home, which should have taken less than 10 minutes took over 40! Not sure what was up with the traffic. Still, we have now had dinner, some washing is sorted and some in the machine, and the kitchen is fairly clear so I am happy with that, and will soon be off to bed.
    Have a good weekend everyone

    Morning everyone

Woke up early because DH had nicked all the duvet. Now I am snuggled up on the sofa and the dog cant quite get enough space to stretch out so he keeps kicking me.

Hospital with DS yesterday, then a bit of paid stuff and ferrying DS2 around so not much else done. Suffering with my achilles for some reason so hobbling a bit this morning. I guess I have been overdoing the running a bit.

We have been given tickets for the races on Monday - in the posh bit. This is lovely but the kids have nothing suitable to wear - school uniform stuff is out of the question apparently. Too late for ebay, charity shops had nothing yesterday so I think this could end up being an expensive day out. Any suggestions for shops to try welcome!

I must make a meal plan today, other than that its a day mostly pottering at home I think.

Yorkshirelass, do the clothing restrictions extend to children? I know that sometimes they make allowances and only insist on posh for the adults.

Bossy - hope all goes well for you in a couple of weeks. You sound like you've got a lot on your plate at the moment.

I've a busy weekend with a houseful of people, plans to go out each day. Today I've already prepared today's packed lunches and got everything ready for tonights tea. Spare beds were made up yesterday. I need to finish breakfast, wash up, get dressed and out with the dogs before everyone turns up around 10am.

    Have a great weekend everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • I should join this thread, I'm terminally lazy when it comes to housework, partly because my rental home never feels like one so I never real feel like it's worth bothering, and partly because I work a 60 hour week when I'm at work (summer hols at the moment so part time) and I do love my evening down time.

I like the lists though, they make sense. Might give it a go!

Subscribed anyway... Does that count as doing something constructive?

It is better than saying "no chance" and never returning again :p

Flying-wise I have to admit I have slipped (mood has been extremely unpredictable and changing suddenly - must add "make Dr appointment" to my list i think)

While I have kept on top of dishes and most washing etc I haven't done much more than that for the past couple of days. I am planning on a "clean slate & fresh start" on Monday.

Hope all of you lovely ladies are well!

That's very true. I've got a couple of unexpected days to myself this weekend so I might use the opportunity to get clearing.

Definitely get Dr Appt added to your list, your health is more important than anything, and if you're mood is becoming unstable then it's going to get more difficult to deal with the other stuff. Good luck, and hugs x

Well I think that's me down until next week. My neck has been stiff for the last couple of days but I have woken up this morning and it is agony! So far I have taken ibruprofen and put a heat pad on, no improvement. I am now going to find some gel to put on it. Hubby is out all day and we are going out for dinner with friends tonight. My mum and I are supposed to be doing a car boot tomorrow. It has taken ages to find a Sunday where we are both free and it's not chucking it down! I will be gutted if I gave to cancel as I gave spent ages collecting stuff together and OH will go mad if I then have to store it! I just want all the 'clutter' gone and some extra pennies in the saving pot. Fingers crossed!
So minimal stuff and will aim to be back on Monday :D

    Morning all

Chopin welcome, doing something is better than nothing

SOam hugs and hope the GP can help

    Frizzle hope your neck improves

Another hideous night's sleep due mainly to anxiety so feeling drained. Have been talked into the cricket teas again which I'm not in the mood for but at least it will be something to think about and force me to have some company.

Off to the shower and then town to do a few chores and get a bit of shoppping. Flying will be simply changing my bed today but apart from the dining room and kitchen the house is in quite good shape.
