Very well done to all flykids re GCSE results!
I'm doing little 15-min-bursts of flying and achieving quite a lot. It is very quiet here... I suspect DD may be having a siesta. Lazy moo. She's back at school next week and needs to get back into a proper routine.
Tonight I am making a spicy tofu stir fry - bottom of fridge veg and whatever spices fall out of the cupboard first. My cooking is inspired by Keith Floyd - chuck it in, stir it, leave it and swig some wine. Well done Greent dd

Having a drink and changing into something cooler as it is mega hot again here today.
Then quick HHC of kitchen and prep dinner - should have gone in sc but I forgot!!July 16 £95/£200

greent well done to your DD
Everything seems to be taking so long today. My bloods results are not where they should be so I'm no mega stressed, I have such a medical phobia and really ned to stop googling things as I am just petrifying myself.
I know I'm being grouchy with DS3 so I've come downstairs and will finish his room in a minute. He wants to meet his friends at the fair in the tow where he goes to school toight so I'll need to either go back and forth or sit over there for a feww hours in my car.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hi. Glad to hear greent DD results - and that she has got into the sixth form she wanted.
DS results blew us away - 12xA* and an A! So he is also going to the sixth form he wanted which is great.
Hardly any flying happening here this week - and I started with such good intention, but other things got in the way. And we have been out today, and will be out tomorrow, Sunday and Monday (last fling of outings before DS starts at sixth form and DD returns to her work routine.)
So the plan is, over the next few days
- try and put all the bits and pieces away which have built up this week and then keep it tidy!
-Plan for a few meals and shop for the bits I need to keep us going over the weekend
-try and get some washing and ironing sorted
Everyone is so tired here from late nights/ not sleeping/too much work I think we need to keep it simpleMay spend - £291.40/£320.00
June spend - £106.40/£320.000 -
Well done to your young people Greent and 2childmum x
Ds1 has just passed his pool lifeguard exam. Very proud of him. It will boost his confidence after his upset last week.
I have been busy off list flying and playing taxi this week. Also entertaining ds2. It is his 12th birthday on Sunday.
Skinty Glad hospital went ok. Hope you don't have to wait too long for the op. I may have to borrow your idea for wardrobe colour coding I have 12-20s. It would also work for Ds2 too.
4 pairs of school trousers arrived 2 pairs are adequate but need about 5" removing from the hems (I ordered short length ones). I may still try to get better fitting ones if I get a chance.0 -
Wow 2childmum that's fab!
Other than cooking and kitchen dailies I've done naff all today. Although I did suPervise a bit of a pre-bedtime kiddies room tidying. Which they did without complaining :T We had bedtime story and DS read to me for the first time this holiday. I need to get him back in the habit. DD read a few words too. Aww.
Plan is to go shopping tomorrow, if we are up early. Probably to Mr T. DD has seen a cake she'd like for her birthday and tbh I'm a bit relieved. I do enjoy making them usually but I've got rather a lot on the moment.
My appointment last night was a medical one, I've been referred for a (very) small op (lady stuff) and saw the consultant last night. His secretary rang me today and they actually have a slot 2wks today so I've grabbed it. It's the day after DDs birthday, and her first gymnastics class, but I don't have to be there till 11.30. It's a sedation jobbie rather than general so I should be able to come home but MIL is going to collect DS from school and have them overnight.
So, you see, a fancy cake is not really high on my agenda just now!
But she will have her tiny bowling party and pressies, so she won't be missing out.
Flying will probably take a back seat the week after thoughBossymoo

Tofu stir fry not too bad - 7/10
Weeding done in front garden (apart from baby thistles which I need gloves for).
I have too many plastic hanging baskets so think I'll leave them out in the front garden for anyone to take tomorrow. The remaining hanging baskets I have in my back garden look fab (I am a lazy gardener).
Inside I have done all laundry & started to rearrange things in the kitchen/diner.*If you have nothing nice to say... say nothing*"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Martin Luther King Jr0
