yeah or maybe have a better paid job by then, lol0
-
Nothing wrong with a KFC job, they pay very well. You'll be well loaded.0

National minimum for starters, not sure if it goes up after probationary period or not, I don't think it does, just NMW, but a job is a job, at the moment, I am lucky to find 1 at all in Rotherham, So I am told
I would not mind working in a professional kitchen, always loved cooking, but never went to college to study catering, I would like to be a chef, but I will settle for anything in the catering & hospitality industry (including KFC, lol), I have worked for McDonald's before and I also worked as a kitchen porter at Pontin's holiday camp0 -

I cycled there today, took me 1 hour 30 minsThe more you do it the fitter and faster you'll get and if nothing else you will be able to save money on bus/taxi fares while the weather isn't so bad to be able to afford taxis when it's not safe to cycle.
I really hope you love your new job and that all goes well for you. Good Luck!:TI'm not an AE I'm just an idiot who forgot to update email details, went away for a bit and then tried to come back after the old laptop died:rotfl:

NMW is a very good income and you're guaranteed a payrise every year too, good on you, I wish you continued success.
It's not just a job, KFC are one of the best in the industry and a very professional kitchen, so many would love to work there.0 -
Yeah, I am not knocking it at all, just saying I would love to be a proper chef, in a proper restaurant, not fast food restaurant, people appreciate your food more in proper restaurants
I have been out of work for 3 years and NMW is better than JSA, so no arguments from me there, just saying I have higher aspirations that's all, not saying that I am going to get where I would like to be, but we all need a dream don't we0 -
KFC is a lot better than a lot of these so called posh restaurants, like the Marco Pierre White one on the news recently where there were so many complaints about the poor overpriced food and the staff walked out.
Working in KFC is far more about being a proper chef than someone like Marco.
I would far respect a KFC chef who is a lot more skilled than someone like Gordon Ramsay who is just about bullying and swearing rather than skilled cooking.0 -
Yes I see what you mean, but unlike Marco, I am not a pompous, jumped up twit!
Many celebrity chefs can't cook anyway they have staff for that
There are a few I like such as Jamie Oliver & James Martin, but not many
I on the other hand have been told by 'proper chefs', that I have a natural ability to cook, what ever that means, I have not always been able to cook, I learnt it through my life, naturally yes, but weather it's a gift or not is debatable0 -
Well good on you, I'm sure your excellent cooking skills will be given a shine at KFCs, I wish I lived closer to sample some of your culinary delights0
-
Thanks, you are too kind0
