It suited me fine when I did it. And the quality of my work ensured at the busiest times I was getting dangerously close to three figures hours worked per week. Nice little earner.that was as much overtime as I could handle.

    There we go.
  • Overtime could also mean working more than 48 hours a week, as you are not supposed to unless you opt out of the Working Time Regs

    Which was none.;)
werent enough hours in the day to eat and sleep let alone do overtime.
  • Also if you have no contracted hours, then is 1 hour not overtime

    Perhaps.

I didn't interpret it in that way because I have always thought overtime is working for a better rate of pay (unless it's called unpaid overtime) on top of your regular hours.

But it could be classed as so, couldn't it really

Maybe I should have called this thread the "Lets argue about Zero-Hours Contracts Thread" or "Zero-Hours Contract Rant Thread, honestly, I wanted a few suggesting that I may not have thought about, now its an 8 page rant, most of the time anyway

That is the new Tesco - side note liking the flowery pattern haha - though that says 2015 it's actually November this year.

Topaz this might be an answer to your travelling troubles: http://www.syw2w.co.uk/ "loan scooters to people who live in South Yorkshire and have difficulties getting to work, training or college due to a lack of suitable transport. Prices start from £40 a month and include all the training and equipment you need to get on the road. We insure all scooters and maintain them for you. " its £60 a month for work travel and scooters don't take much petrol to fill them up either

I thought it was a bit odd it was opening next year when it was mentioned it was in a few months
