It sounds like your brain is beyond overloaded. Only suggestion is that you list all the issues and work through them one at a time. I'd start with the fuel supplier change. If they say no, you're no worse off but it's one less thing to do. Keep us posted on how you get on. Hi Sazzie,
I have changed my car insurance twice since starting my dmp and pay monthly and haven't had any issues so one less thing for you to worry about!
I do think you are a little hard on yourself, you have had a lot to cope with and doesn't sound like you are getting enough support. I had some counselling about 5 years ago and found it very good so maybe worth exploring that avenue. Keep smiling honey, we are all here for you.

I think that's very good advice, I start something, get stuck for some reason, like can I afford it, will they credit check me, what should I do, etc and move on to something else which I half start and get stuck again.
So next days off, address elec and gas is go img to be my focus. Car ins not due til 20th so worry about that later.
Even though it seems very extravagant on a DMP budget, I've decided to apply for the Cineworld monthly pass, as a friend keeps inviting me and at tenner a throw it will be cheaper to go monthly. Will have to come out of the food and entertainment budget, but I've found a way of couple of ££ savings on the guinea pig food and with a bit of clever shopping can save a few more squid. Thinking will use it to with others to pictures and therefore save on other parts of entertainment, like meals out, so hopefully impact won't be too bad. Wondering though, do they credit check for it as its a monthly fee, better check.
Off to work, then dinner at Chinese buffet for friends birthday cheap n cheerful apparently.Debt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.

So I did it! Signed up to switch energy to first utility. Let's see how that works out. Hopefully won't end up paying twice in one month since that would really make my budget stretch.
Am in credit currently to BG so hopefully might get a little rebate once it's sorted.Debt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.

I probably need to tackle VM who haven't fixed my voice mail after the account was switched to my name.
Been putting it off
I did also go into the loft this evening, not really sure what I was looking for, perhaps I thought a winning lottery ticket might have been stashed there, but didn't really find a lot apart from junk and memories. It's hard to know what to keep and what to throw, but some stuff is obviously junk so I'm going to start with getting rid of that.
Thanks for your support and encouragement, it means a lot.Debt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.

Ok sorry to be boring but I have to make myself do these things and posting on here seems to work a bit.
I need to log into my new fuel service account. This is probably urgent
I also need to sort the car insurance. I've got a quote for £55 for breakdown cover which seems ok for my old jalopy. Knowing this should help me compare prices for those that give me breakdown cover and those that don't.
I also have a couple of niggly healthy worries I should probably see gp about so have left myself a note to make an appointment. If I could sort out my on line access, I could have done this so maybe I need to deal with that too.
I am grateful I have a roof over my head, that I can afford my bills and still eat, that I have a job I mainly love with a supportive boss, though I think she's fed up with me screwing up, but I am trying to fix this, I just get so tired I can't catch up even if I stay late because I can't focus. But I am grateful for the job and the bosses support.
I am grateful am managing to give away some of my stuff and reduce clutter whilst knowing someone else is making use of the stuff, so this helps us both.Debt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.

Well I made some more progress this week.
I saw the doc and I've been referee for a couple of routine tests, that brought its own stress as I spend so much time in the docs with semi-ex OH sitting there sort of brings it all back, but I got through it without having a blub.
I also took a whole load of clothing to a,lady who is taking it to the homeless charity. It's difficult to park outside but she has a disabled husband so manages to park nearby for deliveries. She is an older lady and it made me feel quite guilty that I don't do more for charity, but at the moment I find getting through the day/week tough enough. If I try and have a social life as well, like the occasional visit to flicks, I end up in a right mess not sleeping and getting myself confused about what I need to do.
I've been taking magnesium to help me sleep, and it really seems to do the trick. Takes about 3 hours to work, so I take it around 7pm, go to bed around 9pm and am usually asleep before 10.30. Sleep through til about 6.30 and wake up feeling almost human. Managed to get some on 2 for 1 from the health food, shop, it's difficult to get the sort that works, without my guts getting upset.
Makes me sound like a right wimp though, but I can't seem to function properly unless I keep this sort of routine, it's hard enough getting to work regularly.
Had a couple,of days off, visited a local Stately home, someone bought me annual membership for my birthday. It was grounds only due to winter opening times, but I did get out and do something I wanted to do, so pleased with myself. Grumpy woman in the cafe, with extortionately priced cup of tea, however the tea was very nice. Walked back in the dark, something I'd happily have done in the past with doggies but doing it in your own is a bit scary and panicked myself that if anything happened no one would miss me. However I was fine, fair amount of friendly dog walkers still about as well as a few hard-core commuters.
Sorry I digress. Energy switch ongoing, don't seem to have heard much from BG and new FIrstU account is activated and DD has been set up.
Missed a payment with water at beginning of month as forgot BG were claiming much bigger DD (one of the reasons i left), and didn't leave enough in bills account. Had a letter to say, it's ok, don't do it again but well claim 2 next month, then a few days letter a red,'pay it now or else' letter. Feeling in control for once, rang them, they were apologetic (it was my fault really) and sorted it out. Made the extra payment, just have to hope they don't take 2 next month or something else will bounce !
Using a bit of days off going round the cheap shops to restock with bad for you goodies like choc and crisps that I take to work everyday. Hopefully this will last the rest of the month meaning I can concentrate rest of shop budget on fresh foods and veg (for me and the guinea pigs). Might have gone slightly over budget as bought myself a new shower mat £4.95).
Been missing my fave RK biscuits, they seem to have disappeared from the cheapie shops, probably in supermarkets now but I don't really frequent them, although as its Sat I might pay homage to the supermarket later as they tend to reduce salad about 7pm.
Also rang VM to sort my voicemail out, it does seem to work now, and also the promised caller display suddenly started to work I wasn't going to argue about this as it was verbally promised but never emerged.
Came across a good site about bereavement, it listed ideas to survive the 'holiday season' clearly a U.S. writer but the advice seemed useful. Make a plan, decide if you want to go out, stay in,or whatever, but then have a plan B, if you change your mind or if plans change you still have something set up. So for me, I plan to work, and then when I'm not at work, I'm planning to do some decorating if I feel up to it, and hope to go for a walk at least every other day.
Need to address the car insurance this weekend and also shed is in need,of repair, not quite sure how to tackle that one. Clearly wood and tools needed, wood I looked in big DIY place but doesn't seem to be right size, and tools are in shed, difficult to access as still stacked with furniture I never moved back in the house as I like the spacious feel. So to fix the shed, I have to move the furniture, to move the furniture I have to change some stuff in the living room, it's a do one job create 10 sort of thing.
Better get up and start to tackle the day.

Looks like you're getting things sorted so well done. I'm totally with you re Parisians. Went to sleep oblivious of all last night but had a wee weep this morning.
