Is it just me? It seem on this page, that peoples posts are being quoted, and the person quoting the post is somehow quoting the wrong person!!! It's happened a few times on this page. Weird.

    Yes, somethings not right.

    Its the bosses after me.
  • How many times times do you eat it?

I've eaten it when, on the rare occasions, I've been pulled up on something I know I shouldn't have been doing but did.

Oh and for the record, when I went shopping for some cold remedy whilst out doing the banking today I was longer than I intended to be so used it as my lunch break.

The irony is that you come across as a very shouty person.
    Good.

    The spine is still there.

I'm not in the army so I don't shout at people in the workplace.

I ask nicely. Shame some bosses don't see it like that.

As I earlier wrote there could be a hidden message here that of frighten one and frighten them all. Seen it myself.

So it is ok for you to shout outside the workplace? Who decides when/ where it is acceptable?
  • Well I want to work either for TSW or work where she works......

sounds like a holiday camp - turn up when you want to,leave when you want to & forget all the rules....where do I sign???

Why is it acceptable to shout at someone in the army then but no other work place?

You've read far to much into this whole thread. I also notice that you've not denied that its ok for the employee to shout at the boss but not the other way around....hows that chip on your shoulder?

Read bits of the thread again.

I've never suggested its ok to shout in the army. Its there early in the thread.

As to the chip its not right for anyone to shout at anyone.

Its imperative and commonsense that the boss should be above this and I don't understand how people are leading any defence of it.

Do you shout at people in the street.

    No, neither do I.

Is there any reason to get away with it in the workplace with supposed power?

I think the bolded sentence gives it away.

I would dismiss for the unauthorised absence to be honest. But just expect someone to apologise for shouting. If indeed that's what he did.
I'm never offended by debate & opinions. As a wise man called Voltaire once said, "I disagree with what you say, but will defend until death your right to say it."

Please read what I quoted - you said it was 'Good' that you come across as a person that shouts.

You seem greatly lacking in self awareness. You come across as exactly the kind of person you are criticising.
