  • Have my head in the clouds a bit today... gazing at my spreadsheet and looking to the future.

In about 3 months we will hopefully have cleared the last of the CC, just leaving our loan. The loan has a very low interest rate so once the CC is gone all the money we would have put towards it will go to an mortgage offset savings account.

I finally got round to filling out the offset account application paperwork today, so have added it to my signature to spur me on a bit!

  • Thank you DFB! :)

We had a nice long walk in the sunshine yesterday, although wasn't totally frugal as we bought some picnic goodies and stopped at a cafe. Off to do similar today in a bit, although going to be stricter with the treats! ;)

  • Lazy day at home today hiding from the rain! Will try and find a film for the kids to watch on Amazon this afternoon, they are bored already!

Seeing as it's Chinese New Year today I think I might see what sort of Chinese food I can rustle up with the children this evening. Pretty sure we have some fresh noodles and other bits and bobs lurking in the freezer.

  • Unless we have a very very frugal week until the end of the month I'm not sure we are going to get any more paid off in February, so I'm looking forward to March now.

Bit disappointed that we didn't manage to get under £25k this month but it was always an ambitious target!

Had a busy day today rushing around getting jobs done out and about. Just having a quick coffee and then need to crack on with the housework!

  • Even if you don't get anymore paid off, well done on what you have done and you will definitely smash £25k next month!
