So, about a week until payday.
We have £200 left in our current account until then which should be plenty if we are sensible. I am owed £260 from my work but whether I get it paid before the end of the month remains to be seen.
Just been paid our rent which is a relief. Will use it to pay off the rogue CC which has some of DHs work expenses on it, and then the rest can go off the main CC.
Looks as though we should be able to get under £27k before the end of the month, which means that the challenge to get as near to £25k as we can next month will be ON! Pretty good month overall, pleased with our start to 2015 :TTotal Starting Debt August 2014- £38,061

Everyone here seems shattered after a long week, so we are having a quiet day pottering about.
We have plenty of meat in the freezer and several portions of chilli etc so the weekly shop tomorrow should be just be a small one.
Have my eyes now firmly set on reaching £25k. Once our loan payment goes out next weekend we need to pay £1100 off the CC to reach it, so it looks as though that will be my (ambitious!) target for February.

Nice chilled out weekend.
Lazy day yesterday other than a nice (free!) walk in the sunshine as a family.
Today has been a bit of a sorting out day- house tidied and cleaned, a few runs to the tip made, and now the Sunday roast is in the oven.
Did the weekly shop this morning and popped into Tesco to pick up some fresh school uniform bits for the children. Always amazes me how cheap uniform basics are in supermarkets, not that I'm complaining!Total Starting Debt August 2014- £38,061

Reaching £25k before the end of February is looking less likely today as we have remembered a few expenses we have coming up that need to be paid. Will still aim for it but unless I have a very good month with my work I don't think it will happen!
Quiet day here today. Not looking as though we have any more cash coming in before the end of the month now so might update my January totals a few days early and update my spreadsheet ready for February. Expect our loan payment will come out overnight on Friday given that the 1st is on a Sunday, so only 4 days left to go anyway...
All of a sudden I feel as though we on a downward slide... with a bit of luck our CC will finally be cleared in April and then we'll just have the loan (and the offset savings I need to set up) to focus on :j
